Chinese New Year Promotion 2017, Plaza Athenee Bangkok

January 20, 2017 by StrawberrY Gal

Chinese New Year celebrations are too significant to leave to chance. So play safe at Silk Road, one of Bangkok’s top Cantonese style restaurants with a knowing following and well-established reputation for pampering the most hard-to-please palates.

In an elegant embrace of authentic art, comfortably seated around invitingly set tables, explore Hong Kong Master Chef Kam’s fine-tuned and refreshed seasonal specialty dishes presented in three forms: a set menu for 01 person, a set menu for 10 persons, and an equally irresistible a la carte menu of individual dishes.

The 06-course Set Menu For 01 heartily welcomes the Year of the Red Hen with: Minced seafood + oyster in crispy golden cup; Double-boiled superior Chinese New Year soup with oyster, crabmeat conpoy, ham, pork tongue + hair seaweed; Deep-fried shrimp ball topped with crab paste; Steamed cod fish with vermicelli in garlic sauce; Stir-fried egg noodles with shredded abalone, prawn, ham, roasted pork + bean sprout; Double-boiled superior bird‘s nest in fresh milk. Priced THB 2,800++ per person.

Or gather the clan or colleagues for a Fortune-Filled 08-Course Feast featuring: Four kinds of hot hors d’oeuvres; Double-boiled superior Chinese New Year soup with oyster, crabmeat conpoy, ham, pork tongue + hair seaweed; B.B.Q suckling pig; Braised Japanese abalone + black mushroom in oyster sauce; Deep-fried shrimp ball topped with crab paste; Steamed black garoupa in soya sauce; Stir-fried egg noodles with shredded abalone, prawn, ham, roasted pork + bean sprout; Double-boiled superior bird’s nest + gingko nuts + egg white in syrup. Priced 19,000++ for 10 persons.

Or perhaps, along with some of Silk Road’s signature creations that star on any day, select just one or two special dishes from the award-winning restaurant’s Chinese New Year 2017 A La Carte Menu to celebrate over together such as: Braised meat, fish, dried seafood + vegetables with brown sauce in clay pot , THB 2,000; Braised pork leg with hair seaweed + ice burg lettuce brown sauce, THB 300 ea.; Minced seafood + oyster in crispy golden cup, THB 580 ea.; Steamed shrimp ball with hair seaweed + broccoli, THB 380 ea.; Double-boiled superior Chinese New Year Soup with oyster, crabmeat conpoy, ham, pork, tongue + hair seaweed, THB 300; Deep-fried shrimp ball topped with crab paste, THB 380.
