ResQ Club Launches in Malaysia : Saving money whilst curbing food wastage is just an app away

December 5, 2016 by StrawberrY Gal

There are times where we need to grab some food on the way home but sometimes, the places comes simply congested and ended we are blocking the roads just to do some take away. Or even, we need to get a parking just to have your food purchased. Not just that, with ResQ Club, you are not just getting good food but you are also saving up some money while curbing food wastage too.
ResQ Club, a Finnish start-up with presence in over 22 European cities launches its first Asian operations in Malaysia with over 30 restaurant locations in Kuala Lumpur and the Klang Valley. And now, you can make your food ordered via mobile ( IOS & Android) and even in desktop devices where you can enjoy fresh quality food daily with a deal which is at 40-70 percent discount.
How does it work and whats the concept behind?

The concepts is just pretty simple. Instead merchants are throwing away their daily prepared food, why not selling them off at cheaper price where customer can have them at cheaper price and also freshly prepare food.  And with this we can save , over 15,000 tonnes of food is wasted every day. 3,000 tonnes of which could be used to feed 2,000,000 people. And with ResQ Club, they actually bridges a unique gap and allows consumers to connect with top quality restaurants, get great offers, save money and save the environment! Now, if that’s not a win-win, then what is?
And in Malaysia, the team of ResQ Club in Malaysia, Tuure and Joanne Chia, Country Manager for ResQ Club comments, “We know we are a perfect fit for what the market needs right now and expect to garner traction at a quick rate. By the end of next year, we aim to be present in KL, Penang and Johor with over 50,000 active users and over 1,000 vendors. We have also set a goal of ResQ’ing 1,500 portions per day a year from now.”
Users receive real-time notifications of the participating restaurants’ daily surplus meals and treats according to their own diet settings and other preferences. Users can e.g. set the maximum distance and tag their favorite venues. The heavily discounted portions can be purchased directly in the app. The user then collects the food from the outlet, for example on their way home from work.

Talking about the benefits of it, how could I not telling where you can get good deals from. Some of the restaurants includes the Mikey’s Original New York Pizza, Salad Atelier, Yeast Bistronomy , WonderMilk , BreadFruits, Kotakotak Café, A Pie Thing, Eatomo Food & Co to name a few.
