The Crazy Chef @ Subang Jaya : A hidden jewel for Modern European Cuisine!

November 18, 2016 By StrawberrY Gal - Food Review, Invited Review Leave a Comment

What a hidden jewel. A place I am impressed off when I am there. Crazy Chef brings you with the unique adventure of the restaurant itself. An eatery that is a MUST to visit where the interior is not some big fancy but food is indeed what surprises you here. Located at Level 1 ( above Mamak Penang 101) the same row as the famous Asia Café, you can easily spot them.  Headed by Chef Tan; the menu are creatively done by him and he has over 10 years of culinary experience where he gains loads in his working time in 5 star hotels and many private restaurants.
The restaurant indeed very unique and I am impressed the style of cooking of the dishes itself and not just that the food are done from scratch to obtain optimum taste and quality. Most of the dishes is created mainly for the restaurant and it is not commonly found in the market. Most of the ingredients used are from local and with a blend of Japanese ingredients.
Crab Omelette (RM 13)
One of the special creation from the Chef; the Crab Omelette is indeed interestingly prepared where it is a special creation of egg omelette wrapped together with the crabs garnished and topped with the miso brooth and mixed herbs with it. The flavourful bites from the crab omelette is indeed irresistible.

Chef’s Pasta (Served at Room Temperature) (RM 8)
Enjoy the plate of complicated and yet delicious pasta. The angle hair pasta is being tossed with olive vegetables, garlic breadcrumbs, bonito flakes and the cold minced chicken all in one. The dish is impressively delicious where it brings you a different taste each bites of it.
Wasabi Miso Pork Skewers (RM 23)
Enjoy the delicious pork skewers where the pork skewers comes impressively good and delicious. The pork is well marinated with the wasabi miso and each mouthful indeed brings you with the tender juicy meat. And the sauce had made a good combination with the skewers making every mouthful divinely good

Red wine Braised Beef (RM 27)
For beef lover, you will definite to fall in love with this. The Braised New Zealand Beef is being infused wth the red wine and it is accompanied with their daily mixed vegetables and their home made creamy mashed potato. The dish is impressively  delicious where there is no gammy taste while the beef is well braised with the complete aroma of the red wine in it. Awesomely good.
If you are looking for a great and delicious food that does not kill your pockets, heads to The Crazy Chef now ! And not just that, they also caters for private function or birthday party can be arranged with 1 week in advance. Feel free to talk to the chef with customised menu or tasting menu with 1 week in advance notice.
