NEW OPENING: Loke Thye Kee Reopens on 7th October 2016

October 6, 2016 by StrawberrY Gal

LOKE THYE KEE Cafe Restaurant Bar is located right in the heart of George Town, Penang. Built circa 1929, the building used to house a Hainanese restaurant in its heydays.

Loke Thye Kee Building is also affectionately called the ‘Love Boat’ (the architecture resembles a Chinese pleasure boat) it used to be the venue to celebrate happy occasions like matchmaking, weddings and birthdays.

Loke Thye Kee Building has proven to be a very unique destination for many people, both locals and tourists alike. For the locals, it is a chance to re-live the memories of the old Loke Thye Kee Restaurant, when they used to dine as children. As for the tourists, it is a chance for them to visit the oldest and last surviving restaurant building in Penang.

Loke Thye Kee Building is definitely a rejuvenated and restored ‘gem’ to be continuously enjoyed by many generations to come.

And they will be REOPENING under the New Management on 7th October 2016. Checkout them NOW
