Dynasty Restaurant @ Renaissance Kuala Lumpur: MIGF Menu 2016

October 6, 2016 By StrawberrY Gal - Food Review, Invited Review 20 Comments

Having participated in the Festival since the inaugural edition 15 years ago, Dynasty at the Renaissance KL Hotel is a traditional Chinese restaurant offering premium Oriental fare, with a focus on Cantonese and Szechuan. Situated on the mezzanine level of the hotel, its understated elegance of minimalist décor lets the delicious food do all the talking.
And this year, Chef Kok Chee Kin brings you with his high standards that visitors will expects the high standards that visitors to Dynasty expect of him, which he is more than happy to live up too. The menu comes simply extensive and very intresting this year.

Appetiser
X.O. Fortune Money Bag with Bean Curd Folder,
Crispy Pork Belly with Apple, Seafood wrapped in Rice Paper
Enjoy the plate of delicious appetiser where we love how each of it presented. The XO Fortune Money Bag with Bean Curd Folder presented like the sushi alike comes simply flavourful and appetising. As for the Crispy Pork Belly with Apple; all of us are amazed with the crispy cracky pork belly where it brings us with the juicy-licious taste of it with the sides of cube apples. Don’t miss out the last appetisers which is the Seafood wrapped in Rice Paper. Nice presentation with the crispy bites just perfect for an appetizer
Soup
Lobster Consommé, Morel Mushroom
with Fresh Crab Meat and Sea Treasure
The hearty bowl of soup comes just perfect for the day. The perfectly done soup which is simply flavourful and it is packed with the fresh crab and sea treasure. The soup is just a perfectly delicious
Main Course 1
Braised Boneless Duck Leg, Dried Seafood and Whole Abalone
Enjoy the plate of the awesome delicious platter where it comes with the Braised Boneless Duck Leg which is simply moist, and juicy. Accompanied with the dried seafood and the whole abalone. The abalone is just so juicy but the sauce is slightly salty to my preference.

Main Course 2
King Prawn with Ginger and Scallion, Flat Noodle
The fresh king prawns is indeed irrestible. Huge portion of king prawn topped on top of the velvety flat noodles. Love the taste of the noodles which make a good match with the king prawn. Such a good sight with faboulous taste.
Dessert 1
Double Boiled Bird’s Nest and Aloe Vera in Coconut
Presented inside the coconut, the desserts is simply soothing in taste. What I love is the infused double boiled bird nest and the aloe vera taste in the coconut. Hint of the coconut taste but filled with all the goodness all in one!
Dessert 2
Golden Potato with Egg Yolk Custard and Traditional Alkaline Cake
As for this, the desserts is simply impressive. The Traditional Alkaline Cake comes with simply bouncy texture but leaving with a light sweetness in it. Love this so much. But the Golden Potato with Egg Yolk is just perfect and something that surprise us the most!

This looks like Oriental fine dining with their tiny portions. I am enjoying the quality of your shots, since I can’t taste ’em food. LOL
