GoBear partners with foodpanda for World Food Tour

September 28, 2016 by StrawberrY Gal

GoBear Malaysia is collaborating with foodpanda Malaysia for the nation’s first ever World Food Tour. The campaign by foodpanda Malaysia, aims to showcase the many cuisines available on its platform and ultimately, celebrate the best of the best restaurants in Malaysia. The campaign’s contest will commence today and will be carried out until the end of November 2016.

Leveraging on each other’s platform, GoBear Malaysia and foodpanda Malaysia spent time tasting and documenting their restaurant experiences on their websites, ensuring the tastiest cuisines are featured on the World Food Tour map. The World Food Tour contest kicks off on foodpanda Malaysia website, where contest participants are required to unlock the map by ‘travelling’ to six different world kitchens: Italian, Mediterranean, Far East, Tex-Mex, Malaysian and Japanese.

Mr Yannick Skop, Managing Director of foodpanda Malaysia explained, “We believe exploring different cuisines will suit the Malaysian palate well. This campaign not only gives our customers a chance to sample dishes from all over the globe, we are also able to reward our fans in a way we believe they will value greatly.”

Solidifying the partnership further, GoBear Malaysia will be giving away a pair of return tickets to Japan worth RM3,000 as part of the World Food Tour’s grand prize. Like foodpanda, GoBear, the first financial comparison metasearch website in Southeast Asia believes in providing comprehensive information and solutions to users online.

“GoBear and foodpanda share very similar brand beliefs – to continuously strive to help users make better and wiser decisions on an easy and convenient platform,” said Iskandar Ezzahuddin, Country Director Malaysia, GoBear. He continued, “We have been a long-standing advocate of unbiased search results for financial products, so it is now very exciting for us as a brand to dive into a whole different ballgame with foodpanda. This is the first of many more exciting partnerships to come.”

Amelia Lim, Head of Marketing, GoBear Malaysia added, “As part of GoBear’s branding and marketing efforts, we see this partnership as an opportunity to grow and expand relevant insights on consumer interests and behaviours, for instance, Malaysian’s love for food!”

This is GoBear’s first partnership effort since its launch in May 2016. The metasearch financial site plans to expand and explore more partnership in the future.
