Giant Bites of Gastronomical Delight at the Curve

September 21, 2016 by StrawberrY Gal

the Curve Food Fest is back and this time it’s bigger and better than ever! Food enthusiasts will be treated to ‘A Giant Bite of Happy’ as Malaysia’s first pedestrianised lifestyle shopping mall brings its patrons a plethora of food, food, and more food, not to mention other culinary-themed activities for families and friends to enjoy.

From October 6 to 9, 2016, the Curve takes ‘larger than life’ to a whole new level, as gigantic three-dimensional displays of all-time favourite snacks pepper the mall’s Centre Court. Whether it’s sitting on enormous sushi rolls or pretending to chomp down on extra-large cookies and cupcakes, visitors will not want to miss their chance to snap fun, quirky and Instagram-worthy photographs.

To spice things up further, the wide array of yummy goodies will allow foodies to snack to their heart’s content as the Curve’s Centre Court becomes a food lover’s paradise. From local treats such as Nasi Briyani, Mee Rebus, Pasembor and popular Malaysian kuih-muih to Western delicacies like pies, cakes and ice cream, there will surely be something for everyone.

Aspiring chefs are in for a delight as celebrity chefs Dato’ Fazley Yaakob and Anis Nabilah will be joining the Food Fest with special cooking demonstrations! Watch how MasterChef Celebrity Malaysia winner Dato’ Fazley whips up incredible fusion-style dishes on Saturday, October 8. Then, learn tips and tricks from award-winning cook and TV host Anis Nabilah on making the best traditional Malay favourites as she takes the stage on Sunday, October 9.

That’s not all! Indulge in your sweet tooth and learn the art of making the fluffiest of pancakes, or showcase your creativity at the cupcake-decorating workshop. Open to kids as well, the workshops will give little chefs the chance to join in the fun, so that parents and children can enjoy quality time together while bonding over their culinary skills!

Jazmi Kamarudin, General Manager of the Curve, said, “Last year’s Food Fest was well-received by our patrons, and due to popular demand we decided to bring it back again this year. The Malaysian love for good food is undeniable. Just as a game of sports can bring Malaysians together, so does a delicious meal! We are also excited to welcome two talented celebrity chefs to the Curve. All in all, we’re thrilled to be able to treat our loyal shoppers to a week-long food fiesta!”

Up for a challenge? How about participating in the Curve’s ultimate food-eating competition? Winners of this contest will stand a chance to take home exciting prizes. Be sure to head on over to the Curve and eat on to victory!

Enjoy an enhanced culinary experience at home with an exclusive 5-piece kitchen utensil set, courtesy of the Curve! To redeem, simply spend a minimum of RM200 (RM150 for UOB Card members) in a maximum of two receipts at any outlet in the Curve. Redemptions are subject to terms and conditions.
