UNIVERSITY RECEIVES OVER RM 18,000 WORTH OF GYM EQUIPMENT

August 9, 2016 by StrawberrY Gal

The winning team from Taylor’s University bagged the grand prize worth over RM 18,000 for their institution at the 10th ROASTERS Health Watch 2016 by Kenny Rogers ROASTERS (KRR). In addition to the Grand Prize, Team Kingsman’s participants, Lam Kuo Min and Wen Yong Xiang also took home prizes worth RM 4,500 each.

The health challenge concluded with the presentation of GINTELL CyberAir EZ Treadmill, GINTELL AB trak, GINTELL i-SO Melody, GINTELL Magnetic Bike and GINTELL Torsoball to Taylor’s University.

“Many of our participants share their weight loss and fitness stories with us, even after completing ROASTERS Health Watch. It is great to see how much the programme has encouraged more people to achieve their fitness goals. Now in its 10th year, we are pleased to be able to increase awareness of the importance of health amongst the youths through our Intervarsity Health War theme this year,” remarked Esther Woo, Deputy General Manager of Berjaya Roasters (M) Sdn. Bhd.

“We often forget to see the importance of a work-life balance but with ROASTERS Health Watch, we are glad that our students were able to give their best in the health programme. With the additions to the gym equipment received, we hope to motivate our students to put the equipment to good use and live a healthy, balanced lifestyle. This would be good to take their mind off their hectic schedule and to also allow them to learn about time management,” said Mr Leonard Lim, Director of Student Affairs at Taylor’s University.

This year’s ROASTERS Health Watch themed ‘Intervarsity Health War’ is a 4-week health management programme consisting of diet plan as advised by KRR and intense bootcamp workout sessions led by Original Bootcamp, the organiser of Asia’s biggest obstacle course event, Viper Challenge.

The ROASTERS Health Watch 2016 was made possible with the support of Original Bootcamp, Guardian and GINTELL. For more information on Kenny Rogers ROASTERS, visit www.krr.com.my or connect to www.facebook.com/krrmalaysia.
