MANDARIN ORIENTAL PUDONG, SHANGHAI LAUNCHES SPECIAL ACCOMMODATION PACKAGE FOR GOLDEN WEEK

August 16, 2016 by StrawberrY Gal

Whether celebrating an anniversary, enjoying a honeymoon or planning a marriage proposal, Mandarin Oriental Pudong, Shanghai is  the place to be this summer. The hotel’s romantic riverside setting, legendry service and abundance of five star facilities make it an ideal lovers’ retreat. Guests can find many romantic temptations on offer to them at the hotel and nearby that include:

Luxurious Suite and Dream Sunset Cruise

Couples will discover Mandarin Oriental Pudong, Shanghai’s suites offer expansive views across the Huangpu River and are flooded with daylight. Their sophisticated interiors combine traditional Oriental charm with the clean lines of contemporary design, and their spa-like ensuite bathrooms have deep, window-side soaking tubs, walk-in rainforest showers and twin vanity areas.

Guests booking the Shanghai Dream package will be treated to a one hour complimentary sunset cruise, cultural visits and Mandarin Oriental Executive Club privileges. Setting off from the Shanghai Metropolitan Marine Yacht Club, next to the hotel, the 60-minute sunset cruise along the Huangpu River provides an opportunity for guests to admire the historic architecture and futuristic skyscrapers standing on the Bund and Pudong riverbanks respectively.

Rooftop Lounges and Garden Bridge at the Bund

Love can build a bridge between two hearts, and, as one of the city’s great landmarks, the Garden Bridge (Waibaidu Bridge) that straddles the intersection of the Suzhou and Huangpu rivers makes an ideal photo opportunity for couples. Afterwards they can follow the recommendations of Mandarin Oriental Pudong, Shanghai’s concierge by visiting rooftop lounge bars along the city’s west bank, where they can sip cocktails and soak up views of the Pudong skyline.

Take a Day Trip to Suzhou

Guests can spend a day touring Suzhou, the famous silk city in the Yangtze River Delta region. With over 2,500 years of history, the city’s canals, stone bridges, pagodas, and meticulously designed gardens, which are UNESCO world heritage sites, are easily accessible from Shanghai.  Travel agencies or Mandarin Oriental Pudong, Shanghai’s concierge can assist guests with making travel arrangements.
