SHERATON IMPERIAL KUALA LUMPUR HOTEL PRESENTS CHEF GAETANO DI STEFANO

June 14, 2016 by StrawberrY Gal

After months of sourcing for the perfect mama mia! flavours of Italy, Sheraton Imperial is proud to present Chef Gaetano Di Stefano to all diners.

Chef Gaetano Di Stefano began his culinary journey when he was 20 years old at the Stagione Estiva “Fiat Playa”, Punta Marana, Italy. He developed a profound passion for cooking, especially the Italian cuisine.

He learned authentic Italian cooking and this drove him to many towns and cities in Italy to obtain valuable knowledge from well-known chefs all-over before exploring the world.

As a gesture to gain further experiences, Gaetano worked hard and endured many tiring days and nights while working in Kempinski Hotel San Lawrenz, Gozo, Malta. He started as a Commis de Cuisine and got promoted to become the restaurant’s Chef de Partie. After this, he moved on to join Sheraton Jumeirah Resort & Towers in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, where he obtained five star hotel experience in Dubai. He was designated as Sous Chef and was in charge of the Italian Ciao restaurant. He was responsible for all daily operation of the restaurant, maintaining the standards of food purchasing, preparation, quality & hygiene and as well as decorations at the restaurant. In the absence of the Executive Sous Chef and the Executive Chef, Gaetano will take charge with the operations of the restaurant. In 2014, his hard work finally paid off as he was appointed the Italian Chef for Hilton Labriz, Seychelles, Silhouette Island. His main objective for moving was to share his experiences with others.

Gaetano is great in communicating with others. His friendly and outgoing personality allowes him to have a good sense of teamwork. Furthermore, he believes in diversity and creating an upbeat working environment.

When dining at Villa Danieli, one can expect to have a great dining experience as Gaetano cooks up authentic and traditional Italian favourites. Allow him to bring you on a culinary journey around Italy as he showcases to you his best dishes. Be sure to try out his signature dishes like Pappardelle with Lobster in Tomato Basil Sauce, Oyster and Sea Urchins Risotto and Pizza Siciliana.

For further bookings and reservations at Villa Danieli, call 03-2717 9922 or email [email protected] or visit www.villadanielirestaurant.com
