FEAST ON A LAVISH PASAR MALAM INSPIRED BUKA PUASA SPREAD AT THE STRAITS ESTATE IN THE NEWLY OPENED V E HOTEL & RESIDENCE, BANGSAR SOUTH

If street food is your thing, check out the Pasar Malam themed Buka Puasa buffet spread at The Strait Estate, the new all-day dining restaurant that recently opened at V E Hotel & Residence in Bangsar South from June 10th to July 5th.

With an impressive line up of hawkers stalls dishing out your local favourites, highlights include a special feature stall where you get to sample 13 “laksa” varieties – from the signature Penang Style Assam Laksa to regional favourites from Johor, Terengganu and up North. Also remember to check out the 13 State Curry Stall offering speciality curries from every Malaysian states. Other food stall staples include satay grilled over charcoal, roti canai and murtabak fresh of the griddle, ikan bakar and much more.

Roast meat lovers amongst you, don’t miss the Arabian Stall with its Spit Roasted Lamb marinated and grilled to perfection, a popular Arab streets staple or try the Chicken and Lamb Shawarma accompanied by a full flavoured biryani rice.

That’s not all, head to the buffet line to sample dishes like Daging Masak Berkuah Curry Hijau, Daging Masak Merah,  Udang Harimau Goreng Mentega (Butter Prawn), Ayam Goreng Berempah with Chili Kering, Sambal Petai Goreng Ikan Bilis, Pucuk Manis lemak with Ubi Manis, Pajeri Nenas with Kiwi Kering. Accompany these delightful dishes with an aromatic Nasi Beriyani Kurma for the full on foody experience.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Accompaniments include a vast array of delightful ulams, kerabus, sambals and salads. The assortment include Kerabu Soo Hoon with Seafood, Kerabu Pucuk Paku Dengan Udang , Kerabu Nangka bersama Pucuk Ubi Ulam, Ulam  Kampung to name but a few.

End your meal with a refreshing ice kacang or cendol, or treat yourself to a selection of delectable local kuih, assorted french pastries, pistachio baklava, ice creams or indulge in a sinfully rich Tapai Pulut, Tapai Ubi or Pengat Durian. Finish with a sweet milky hot Teh Tarik, the perfect end to a delicious feast.
