TURKISH FOOD PROMOTION AT SHANGRI-LA HOTEL, KUALA LUMPUR

Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur will be offering an exquisite spread of Turkish delicacies from 24 to 30 May at Lemon Garden Cafe, specially prepared by Turkish chefs from the Shangri-La Bosphorus, Istanbul.

This round, savour the local delights all the way from Istanbul locally in Malaysia during this week. At the dinner buffet, guest chefs İbrahim Karakoç and Özge Ateşoğlu will present their Turkish specialties such as Pide (Turkish flatbread filled with feta and spinach), Bulgur and Lentil patties with pomegranate molasses, Adna kebab, Baked Aubergine with lamb, and desserts such as Keskul (traditional Ottoman almond pudding) and Baklava, among others. The dinner buffet is priced at RM140 nett per person (Sunday to Wednesday) and RM188 nett per person (Thursday to Saturday).

Turkish sweets and savouries are also available during the afternoon tea at the Lobby Lounge, from 3pm to 6pm, from 25 to 30 May. Among the Turkish sweets are Revani, Baked Rice Pudding and a fine selection of Turkish Delights. The savouries include spinach and cheese pastry, stuffed grape leaves and bulgur balls filled with ground meat. It is RM90 nett per set.

During the Turkish food promotion, two Turkish Airlines business class return tickets to Istanbul are to be won in a lucky draw with a minimum spend of RM200.  

Chef İbrahim Karakoç, who has been with the Shangri-La Bosphorus since 2013, has had experience in food promotions in New York and Monte Carlo.
