DIVINE DUMPLINGS TO COMMEMORATE DRAGON BOAT FESTIVAL (DUAN WU JIE) AT HUA TING RESTAURANT

May 6, 2016 by StrawberrY Gal

Hua Ting Restaurant will mark the traditional Dragon Boat Festival with new dumpling creation by award-winning Masterchef Lap Fai.  From 9 May to 6 June 2016, guests will be able to partake of these perennial favourites available at Hua Ting Restaurant for dine-in and takeaway. A premium rice dumpling gift set comprising 3 flavours of rice dumplings will serve as thoughtful gifts for business associates or for sharing with loved ones.

For those who appreciate a well-braised pork trotter, this collagen-rich dumpling is not to be missed. This year’s new creation of Rice Dumpling with Braised Pork Trotters, Dried Japanese Bonito and Peanuts柴鱼花生猪手粽 ($14.80) is a heavenly combination of fork-tender pork trotters and savoury peanuts, complemented with dried Japanese Bonito which lends a delicate aromatic lift and flavour to the glutinous rice – you will find yourself savouring every bite of this treat right to the last succulent morsel!

A handcrafted vegetarian highlight, the Brown Rice Dumpling with Trio of Mushrooms and Black Summer Truffle Paste黑松露酱野菌糙米粽 ($13.80)         packed with wholesome ingredients is the perfect festive indulgence for the health conscious. Long famed for its nutritional benefits, brown rice is interspersed with delectable button mushrooms, straw mushrooms, Chinese black mushrooms and infused with black truffle paste for a modern and tantalising touch.

Unlike most “pyramid” rice dumplings, the signature Hong Kong Style Rice Dumpling with Roasted Meat, Dried Scallops and Beans 香港裹蒸粽 ($23.80) is shaped like a rectangular pillow and tops the choice of our regulars every year! A bite into this decadent delight reveals irresistible flavours of generous roasted duck and pork, dried scallops, mushrooms, salted egg yolk, fragrant chestnuts and dried lotus seeds, all encased in a golden pillow of premium glutinous rice.

With the perfect balance of healthy and savoury dumplings, Hua Ting Restaurant’s Tantalising Trio Rice Dumpling Gift Set 超值礼盒 makes for ideal gifting to families, friends and business associates. Each set is priced at $62 and comprises :

1 piece of Hong Kong Style Rice Dumpling with Roasted Meat, Dried Scallops and Beans香港裹蒸粽

2 pieces of Rice Dumpling with Braised Pork Trotters, Dried Japanese Bonito and Peanuts柴鱼花生猪手粽

2 pieces of Brown Rice Dumpling with Trio of Mushrooms and Black Summer Truffle Paste黑松露酱野菌糙米粽
