May 18, 2016 by StrawberrY Gal

After hosting the largest ever whisky event in town back in February, something is now stirring in InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong’s whisky bar – Tiffany’s New York Bar. On Saturday, 21 May 2016, this year’s official World Whisky Day,
Tiffany’s New York Bar will be hosting a whisky party to celebrate the water of life with the world.

World Whisky Day was founded in 2012 by Mr. Blair Bowman when he was still a university student. The event became an annual worldwide celebration of whisky, aiming to promote whisky knowledge and appreciation all over the world, and also to give those who do not normally drink whisky the chance to try the liquid gold.

Tiffany’s New York Bar is proud to be the appointed the official venue in Hong Kong for the celebration of the World Whisky Day 2016. It is a precious opportunity for whisky lovers in town to unite and enjoy an unforgettable night of whisky from 4pm – 9pm, enabling whisky aficionados to indulge in only the finest expressions and a fun-filled evening with great whiskies, curated cigar selection and whisky-matching food delicacies. Whisky experts will also be there to share information about different whisky regions, flavours and styles.

Mr. John Drummond, Resident Manager and Whisky Ambassador of InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong said, “In February, our hotel organized the first ever Hong Kong Whisky Festival. I am glad that we have received a lot of positive feedback from our participants and partners. What is even greater was the meeting and socializing with a lot of whisky connoisseurs and lovers at the event. The World Whisky Day is all about making whisky fun and enjoyable and I look forward to uniting more like-minded whisky enthusiasts on the day.”
