PORTAFILTER @ SS15, SUBANG

April 14, 2016 By StrawberrY Gal - Food Review, Invited Review Leave a Comment

More cafes are building up and I found another good coffee again. Portafilter at SS15 Subang Jaya started serving coffee in February 2016. Unlike most cafes, Portafilter doesn’t offer any hot food at the moment, but they might be serving light bites and hot food in the future. And it is indeed a hidden jewel though where it is located behind the famous Aabong Café taking the same lot as them.

The star behind the café, Keng Zhi has been a barista for 8 years and has participated in few coffee-related competitions since 2014. With both of their passion in coffee, they wanted to serve something simple yet and yet quality coffee.

Coffee Shot (RM 7)
The coffee shot is indeed a good one. The taste brings you light and smoothness texture of a filter coffee yet with the strong flavours of an espresso. It is not those choking coffee taste but it brings you a light refreshing taste.

Espresso + Milk (RM 10)
For those who prefer to enjoy a drink with milk; you can opt for an espresso with milk. Nicely prepared with the simple coffee art. The espresso coffee together with the creamy milk makes a good blend and it is served with the option of add-on chocolate truffle or green tea chocolate.

Cold Brew Coffee (RM 10)
A cold coffee just perfect with the fragrant coffee taste and it is light and good.

For those who are looking for a good decent coffee, you can come over to visit Portafilter and enjoy a good awesome coffee with some ice cream from Aabong.
