GET FIT, GET HEALTHY AND GET IT BOOTCAMP STYLE!

April 10, 2016 by StrawberrY Gal

It’s a health war between local colleges and universities in Kenny Rogers ROASTERS (KRR) annual ROASTERS Health Watch for the 10th year running! This year, KRR collaborates with Original Bootcamp, the organiser of Asia’s biggest obstacle course event, the Viper Challenge!

Teams of two from colleges and universities will battle it out in this year’s theme: Intervarsity Health War, through intense workout sessions in order to get fit and healthy in a 4-week health management programme. The training sessions that will take place twice a week will be monitored and personalised by certified fitness trainers, headed by Faizal Ariff of Original Bootcamp.

“Tapping into colleges and universities made us realise that this is the age range where young adults begin taking their health habits more intently. With this, we hope the participants will work hard to achieve their optimum goal of being healthy through this annual challenge. This platform has helped transform and inspire many to continually change their lifestyle which is our ultimate mission,” said Christina Thong, Marketing Manager of Berjaya ROASTERS (M) Sdn Bhd.

“We are glad to have Original Bootcamp on board with us in this challenge. We hope the participants will get the most out of the time with the fitness trainers who will be guiding them throughout the weeks,” she added.
“We look forward to host the participants throughout the 4-week challenge to improve their fitness and encourage them to work towards a healthier living. The collaboration with KRR has made it all the more better for us to promote to the public the importance of being healthy by eating the right food and exercising the right way. We hope that these bootcamp training sessions will inspire the participants to achieve their desired health and fitness,” said Faizal Ariff, Program Coordinator of Original Bootcamp Sdn. Bhd.
Apart from that, participants will be provided with tips on training right and a special diet plan with the aid of KRR. This is to ensure participants get the proper nutrition and right consumption of food during the 4-week long challenge before the competing in a finale challenge. Some of the challenges will test the participants’ physical endurance, stamina, discipline and more.
Lucrative prizes worth more than RM30,000 await the winning teams! Apart from being crowned the winners of the first ever Intervarsity Health War, teams will go head to head to win the Grand Prize of RM10,000 worth of gym equipment for their respective institution, 2 sets of RM1,500 worth of gym equipment, RM1,500 worth of Guardian hampers and vouchers, alongside receiving two sets of RM500 worth of KRR meals in their KRR cards and six (6) months’ worth of bootcamp membership from Original Bootcamp!
In conjunction with KRR’s 22nd anniversary in Malaysia, KRR is celebrating 22 Deliciously Healthy Years! Customers who dine in at any KRR outlet across Malaysia will be able to enjoy a free Country-style Chicken Soup and Iced Lemon Tea with any main meal, from 4th April to 29th May 2016.
