AFTERNOON TEA @ THE RITZ-CARLTON KUALA LUMPUR

March 14, 2016 by StrawberrY Gal

The Ritz-Carlton, Kuala Lumpur was recently refreshed and ensconced within this new and stylish hotel are brand new restaurants offering distinctive dining experiences.

Afternoons at The Ritz-Carlton, Kuala Lumpur is a leisurely affair and leading the host of exciting offerings to be unveiled, is the new Afternoon Tea at The Lobby Lounge. The Lobby Lounge is renowned for its much-loved and time-honoured English tradition of an Afternoon Tea and now features a fresh take on this tradition. Indulge in three elegant tiers of freshly baked scones, petite gourmet sandwiches, quiches, pies and desserts accompanied with a beautiful Bone China pot of Ronnefeldt tea steeped to perfection.

Serenaded by a four-piece musical ensemble including violinists and a pianist, the ambiance, service and food quality is first class all the way.  Priced at RM91 nett per person, the new Traditional English Afternoon Tea is served in an elegant three-tier set which is amazingly beautiful in presentation.

Start them with the Savouries where you can enjoy their signature Ritz Carlton Beef Pastrami and Mozzarella Sandwich, with the Mushroom Quiche and Mini Chicken Pie. The savouries are well pared with the Fancy Sencha which give you a refreshing blend of taste when enjoying the savouries. The signature Ritz Carlton Beef Pastrami is awesomely good and mouthwatering.

Next comes the scones. Enjoy their freshly bake scones with the choice of wholemeal Cranberry. And Lemon classic. The delicious scones is indeed well paired with the Ritz Calton Kuala Lumpur Blend.

As for the sandwiches, they comes with 3 different sandwiches which is the tuna, chicken and egg salad. The sandwiches comes awesomely good especially the tuna which comes to my favorite. Served with the Darjeeling Summer Gold had made them perfectly good for the day.

As for desserts, it comes with the wide variety where you can find the Raspberry and Vanilla Choux Bun, Chocolate and Orange Ganache Cake, Mixed Berry and Custard Tart, Morello Cherry Cheesecake, Lemon and Caramel Éclair, Chocolate Tart, Cranberry Flapjack, Red Fruit Globe, and raspberry Financier. Everything is perfectly good and I am just pampered with their lovely awesome desserts.

The new Afternoon Tea is priced at RM91 nett per person and is served from 3 pm to 6 pm daily.

Location: The Lobby Lounge, The Ritz-Carlton Kuala Lumpur, 168 Jalan Imbi, 55100 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
