ONE WORLD HOTEL BRINGS EARLY YULETIDE CHEER TO CHILDREN OF SIDDHARTHAN CARE CENTRE AS PART OF ANNUAL FESTIVE INITIATIVE.

January 1, 2016 by StrawberrY Gal

Christmas is often described as the most wonderful time of the year and this year, One World Hotel Petaling Jaya shared the Yuletide cheer with a group of 22 underprivileged children from Siddharthan Care Centre.

The guests of honour were treated to a hearty buffet breakfast at Cinnamon Coffee House, upon their arrival at the hotel. After feasting to their hearts’ content and filled their tummies to the brim, the group were led to TGV One Utama by Ms. Feryal Mufti and Ms Lin Teh, Public Relations Manager and Assistant Public Relations Manager respectively.

Together with volunteers from the Human Resources department, Sales and Marketing as well as the Convention and Events team, both adults and children watched “The Good Dinosaur” in the Beanieplex, rented wholly just for the special occasion. The 100 minutes film is heartfelt and endearing, visually splendiferous which had all mesmerised and bursting with laughter.

To top off the memorable outing, boxes of provisions contributed by the generous employees within the hotel were presented to the home’s founder, Mr. S.K. Manimaran. Hotel General Manager, Ho Hoy Sum said “We hope that our small contribution is able to bring some relief and improve the lives and well – being of the children”

He also added that One World Hotel Petaling Jaya is committed to operating in a socially and environmentally responsible manner. The hotel has carried out its corporate social responsibility programme since 2008.

For those who wish to offer assistance in any form, please contact Mr. S.K. Manimaran at 019 – 314 8533 or email to [email protected] for further information. Alternatively, drop by for a visit at No. 32, Jalan SS3/46, Taman Universiti, Petaling Jaya.
