LET US CELEBRATE THE LUNAR NEW YEAR WITH YOU AT LI YEN

January 27, 2016 by StrawberrY Gal

Kuala Lumpur will have no shortage of dining establishments where one can enjoy Yee Sang and usher in the Year of the Monkey. However, for those who really want to entertain with a difference, Li Yen at The Ritz-Carlton, Kuala Lumpur is offering a Chinese New Year menu that is set apart by its quality and variety. Chef Leung and his team have created an irresistible range of menus that include all fine Cantonese delicacies
Prosperity yee sang with salmon
We started with the Prosperity yee sang with salmon which comes simply huge. Filled with the variety of condiments in it includes of the salmon, mangoes, radish and more. It is beautifully presented and I am pretty amazed with it.
Double-boiled dried fish maw soup with conch meat and chicken
The nutritious soup comes awesomely good with the good serving of the dried fish maw together with the conch meat and chicken with it. Soup remains its sweetness and the refreshing taste of it is just super awesome.
Braised dried oyster with sea cucumber and sea moss in abalone sauce
The sea cucumber are well braised till perfection leaving you with the crunchy bites of the sea cucumber and the sauce was superbly good
Steamed sea bass Teochew style
I love the lovely steamed sea bass which is well cook till perfection leaving us with the flaky texture of the fish itself and also the sweetness of it. Awesome.
Buttered prawns
This is one of my favourites and also the signatures of the prawns are being stir-fried till golden brown. Prawns come simply fresh and every mouthful is awesomely good and delicious.
Duo mushroom with broccoli
The usual meals we are able to get in most Chinese restaurant but Li Yen impressed me on the size of the mushroom which is pretty huge and it is indeed well braised till perfection. The flavours are infused in which is indeed indulging.

Steamed clay pot rice with Chinese waxed meat
Don’t miss the claypot with the Chinese Waxed Meat. I love the way the rice is being served and it is well topped with those lovely wax meat, Chinese sausages and more. Awesomely good!
Boiled crystal dumplings in ginger soup
Served hot with the gingery taste with it, I am indeed falling in love with this. The tong yuen is well made and the taste is perfect. Lovely.

Guests may sit with their family and friends in one of the three private dining rooms available or in the main dining room, surrounded by a brilliant palette of warm colours, dark wood finishing and classical and modern Chinese artistry. Additionally, for larger gatherings guests may use the Carlton Conference Centre located next to the restaurant.
