IHG OPENS 4th HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS HOTEL IN THE LAND OF SMILES

November 15, 2015 By StrawberrY Gal - Hotel, Hotel News Leave a Comment

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) welcomes Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Sukhumvit 11, the fourth Holiday Inn Express hotel to open in Thailand since the brand’s launch in the country in 2012. The new 161-room hotel offers smart and savvy travellers direct access to Bangkok’s lively Sukhumvit district, with plenty of dining and entertainment options right at their doorstep.

Located along Sukhumvit 11, adjacent to the bustling Sukhumvit Road in downtown Bangkok, travellers can enjoy a swift 30-minute transit to the hotel after touching down at either Suvarnabhumi International Airport or Don Mueang International Airport. Both Nana BTS Skytrain and Sukhumvit MRT stations are also within walking distance, making Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Sukhumvit 11 a smart and convenient choice for travellers to explore the city by train.

“Thailand is well known for both its vibrant city centres and sandy beaches, attracting over 20 million visitors each year, and the emergence of travellers who want the guarantee of a fuss-free stay at a reasonable rate. The Holiday Inn Express brand caters to this demand by providing guests with a refreshing and uncomplicated experience in convenient locations around the world. We expect a busy opening period for Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Sukhumvit 11, our third in Thailand’s capital, and look forward to providing our guests a welcoming stay in Bangkok,” said Alan Watts, Chief Operating Officer, Asia, Middle East and Africa (AMEA), IHG.

When staying at Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Sukhumvit 11, travellers are just steps away from Sukhumvit Road, one of the longest boulevards in Thailand and home to some of the country’s most popular shopping centres, trendy restaurants, bars and nightclubs. Guests can either take a quick walk to shopping malls such as Terminal 21 and Central Embassy for some retail therapy, or hop onto the Skytrain to Chatuchak Weekend Market for a more local shopping experience.

The streets surrounding the hotel are also lined with hawkers selling the best of Thailand’s street food. While guests can start their day right in the morning with free Express Start™ Breakfast, food lovers can continue to explore the food capital of Bangkok for some local fare or treat their taste buds to authentic French cuisine at popular French restaurants, Oskar or Chez Pape in the vicinity.

After a day of exploring, guests can enjoy a refreshing power shower in their hotel rooms and step out to discover Bangkok’s pulsating nightlife at trendy night spots such as Q Bar, Levels or Bash.

With over 2,300 Holiday Inn Express hotels around the world, guests can expect a hassle-free stay with the consistency and reliability of a global hotel brand. Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Sukhumvit 11 provides a choice of contemporary queen or twin guest rooms which includes:
• Free and fast Wi-Fi available throughout the hotel to ensure connectivity to the ones who matter
• Free Express Start™ Breakfast or a Grab & Go option for a smart start to the day
• A choice of firm or soft pillows for a comfortable and restful night after a day of exploring the city
• Great location where guests can enjoy easy access to the best dining and entertainment options right in the downtown Bangkok with easy access to both the Nana BTS Skytrain station and Sukhumvit MRT station
• Refreshing power showers with a three-function massage showerhead and fluffy towels to rejuvenate and refresh guests after a day of exploring the city
Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Sukhumvit 11 follows the successful opening of Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Sathorn in 2014 and is the 11th Holiday Inn Express hotel to open in South East Asia (SEA). The hotel joins 17 other IHG properties in the country, making Thailand home to the group’s largest number of hotels in the South-East Asia region, which will continue expanding to include eight more hotels in the next three to five years.
