CELEBRATE MID AUTUMN 2015 @ SHANGHAI RESTAURANT, JW MARRIOTT KUALA LUMPUR

The Mid-Autumn festival is a joyous time filled with family celebrations, lantern parades and mooncakes galore. Make this year’s festivities even more memorable with JW Marriott Kuala Lumpur’s unique collection of mooncakes.
SHANGHAI MOONCAKE
Taking centre stage this year are two new creations, “Snow Skin Fermented Black Garlic with Egg Yolk” and “Snow Skin Durian Paste with Truffle”. Locally sourced fresh durian fruit, specially imported truffles and black garlic from Taiwan are all necessary for the making of these extraordinary flavour combinations. Retaining traditional ingredients and methods, these mooncakes are both a treat and a treasure to share with your loved ones. These delicately handcrafted cakes are prepared by the resident chef, Chef Kong Sok Wah whose talents are reflected in the beauty of each mooncake.

Those who prefer the comforting tastes of tradition can also choose from a wide variety of classic flavours including White Lotus Paste with Egg Yolk, Black Sesame Paste, and Bamboo-Charcoal Paste with Egg Yolk. Baked savoury selections include Roasted Chicken, and Deep-fried Crispy Yam Paste.

Individually wrapped and priced from RM13 onwards, a set of 6 traditional flavoured mooncakes are priced from RM128.00. A half dozen mooncakes including the two new flavours are priced at RM168.00. Each set comes with 4 tins of Chinese tea leaves, all packed in an oriental-inspired gift box.

Located on Level 1 at JW Marriott Hotel, Shanghai is open from Monday to Saturday for lunch from 12.00 pm to 2.30 p.m. and for dinner from 6.30 p.m. to 10.30 p.m. On Sundays and Public Holidays, it is open for lunch from 10.30 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. and dinner from 6.30 p.m. to 10.30 p.m. For reservations and enquiries, kindly contact Shanghai at 03-2719 8288.
