2015 MOONCAKE @ LAI PO HEEN, MANDARIN ORIENTAL

LAI POH HEEN , MANDARIN ORIENTAL

Specialising in classic Cantonese delicacies and dim sum specialities, Lai Po Heen is inspired by the great ancestral homes of 19th Century Chinese tycoons. The decor is simply stunning with high ceilings, ornate chandeliers and beautiful parquet flooring.
And this year, Lai Po Heen brings you with the myriad of innovative mooncake flavours. Indulge either the classic all-times favourites, the new snow skin flavours or the sinful chocolate mooncakes. They are even 2 limited edition VIP mooncakes- one which is coated in 24 carat edible gold. Lai Po Heen mooncakes are priced between RM20 to RM48.
In this ear, they have the 4 pieces of large mooncake where the choices include White Lotus paste (RM 30) , Lotus paste with single Egg Yolk (RM 30) , Pandan and Single Egg Yolk (RM 30). Creamy Milk Tea Paste (RM 30), Red Bean and Lotus Paste (RM 30) and Diced Chicken Ham with Mixed Nuts (RM 30).

And if you love to have the medium mooncake; they have the choice of 6 piece mooncake which you can have the white lotus paste (RM 22), Dragon fruit lotus paste (RM22), Durian Paste and Melon Seed (RM 22), White Chocolate with Passion Fruit, tropical mango ganache, and pineapple pate de fruits (RM 23),Chocolate Palette d’or with salted caramel, bourbon vanilla and Guanaja ganache (RM 23) and the Chocolate Kaya and ivory filling (RM 23). All the flavours comes simply unique.

For those who are looking for some snow skin, Mandarin Oriental have them too. The choices comes out with their Mini Snow Skin with Blue –Pea Flowers in Pumpkin Patse and Seeds (RM 20), Mini Snow skin with Custard Paste and Sesame Paste (RM 20) and the Mini Snow Skin with Durian Paste (RM 20)

For those who wants more unique mooncake, don’t miss their Snow skin with Bird’s nest with Pandan Paste (RM 38) and the Gold Coated Lotus Paste and Single Egg Yolk (RM 48)

Opening times: 12pm to 2.30pm for lunch (Mon-Sat), 11am-3pm (Sundays & public holidays), 7pm to 10.30 for dinner (Mon-Sun).
