YUÁN QIĀN – EXCLUSIVE MOONCAKE COLLECTIONS

August 10, 2015 By StrawberrY Gal - Food News Leave a Comment

The Mid-Autumn full moon symbolises unity in Chinese culture. On this blissful occasion, Sino Group of Hotels is delighted to present two exclusive mooncake collections, featuring White Lotus Seed Paste with Double Egg Yolks, White Lotus Seed Paste with Olive Nuts and Double Egg Yolks, Mini Pandan Paste with Egg Yolk as well as Mini Rose and Red Bean Paste, in commemorative boxes adorned with a Chinese auspicious knot, celebrating the harmonious connections with family and friends. This year, we have partnered with The Foodlink Foundation to spread happiness and love to the community. A meaningful gift to share with your loved ones during this special time of the year.

Both collections are now available at The Royal Pacific Hotel & Towers, City Garden Hotel, Hong Kong Gold Coast Hotel, Island Pacific Hotel and The Pottinger Hong Kong. Place your order on or before 26 August to enjoy a 35% discount.

The Classic Collection (HK$368 per set of 4 pcs)

The Classic Collection includes the authentic White Lotus Seed Paste Mooncake with Double Egg Yolks, showcasing exquisite baking skills and containing only the finest ingredients. The rich yolk together with the soft, smooth lotus paste make this a timeless delicacy. Lotus Seed Paste Mooncake with Olive Nuts offers and Double Egg Yolks a more aromatic and refreshing taste, so that you can share a range of different flavours with loved ones.
The Fragrant Collection (HK$278 per set of 8 pcs)

The Fragrant Collection is meticulously crafted, including our renowned Mini Pandan Paste Mooncake with Egg Yolk and our newest flavour – Mini Rose and Red Bean Paste Mooncake. The aromatic pandan enhances the flavour, balancing with the rich egg yolk, while the Mini Rose and Red Bean Paste Mooncake blends delicate rose petals and minced red bean, yielding an alluring scent and lingering taste.

“Yuán Qiān” commemorative boxes

Chinese knots are traditionally used as event markers, eventually specific knots were  used to mark specific festivals or as accessories accompanied with jade or perfume satchels. Symbolising prosperity and good fortune, Sino Hotels have emblazoned each mooncake box with a auspicious Chinese knot under the theme of “Yuán Qiān”, celebrating the harmonious connections with family and friends. This year, Sino Hotels have also partnered with The Foodlink Foundation to spread happiness and love to the community.
This classical design of the boxes, in camel gold and scarlet red, is given an Oriental touch with the embossing of a jade pendant. The unique design beautifully compliments the auspicious knot, making it the most meaningful gift at this special time of year.
