SUSTAINABLE DINING OPTIONS TO SATISFY BOTH GOURMANDS AND THE ENVIORNMENT ALIKE

June 25, 2015 by StrawberrY Gal

Executive Chinese Chef Ip Kwok Fai at Man Ho, JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong’s Chinese restaurant, is pleased to introduce the New Zealand Sustainable Seafood Promotion from now to 31 July 2015. Upon ordering any dish from the promotional menu, diners are eligible to participate in a *lucky draw where they will stand a chance to win fantastic prizes; from hotel accommodation, dining gift cards to a travel voucher worth HK$20,000.

Dedicated to providing guests with premium dining selections, Man Ho partnered with New Zealand Trade & Enterprise to import sustainable seafood, which includes Blackfoot abalone; blue codfish, Ōra King salmon, littleneck clams and green shell mussels. New Zealand sustainable fisheries utilise a strict system as well as innovative and environmental mitigation techniques for farming and open water fishing so as to preserve and replenish the oceans’ habitats.

Chef Ip’s menu accentuates the natural flavours and textures of the New Zealand seafood by using traditional Cantonese culinary styles to create an exquisite menu to enjoy during lunch and dinner. Gourmands can indulge in delectable dishes such as steamed Ora King salmon, paired with preserved vegetable and eggplant (HK$300 per dish); poached littleneck clams with vermicelli, accompanied by preserved vegetable and white pepper (HK$220 per dish); braised Blackfoot abalone with oyster sauce (HK$480 per dish); pan-fried blue cod fish with soy sauce (HK$300 per dish) and sautéed mussel with bean chilli sauce (HK$220 per dish).
