CHEF BUDIMAN PRESENTS A TRADITIONAL FEAST AT LATEST RECIPE @ LE MERIDIEN KUALA LUMPUR

It is that time of the year where the taste of home-cooked food is all the crave. This year, Chef Budiman brings you with many traditional Malay dishes inspired by his experience. This Ramadhan, Latest Recipe will feature culinary styles from Kedah, Kelantan, Perak, Penang, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Johor, Pahang, Terengganu and Selangor.

To start, diners can discover authentic Malay salads at the Malay Kerabu station, which features Chicken salad with cashew nuts, young papaya and carambola chili paste, Fish and prawn terrine with grated chili coconut paste served with fenugreek sauce, and Sliced roasted beef with tamarind chili dip and more. Not just that, you can pamper your self with the Pecal Desa (Local Vegetable Salad), Tauhu Sumbat (Stuffed Beancurd), Acar Limau (Pickle Lime), Popiah Basah (Malay Spiced Spring Roll) and Nasi ulam (traditional style rice salad). Aside from the Malay salad, you can also help yourself with the salad bar too with the Mesclun, Romaine Lettuce, Cucumber, Carrot, Artichoke, Cherry Tomato,Tomato Wedges, Beetroot, Young Corn, Broccoli and Cauliflower and topped with the Salad Condiments and Sauces and Dressings.

Moving next; the counter of Seafood on The Ice is something that will be something a must to try there where you can pamper yourself with the Mussels, Prawns, crab and sea scallop.

For more malay sensation, try their Ulam Ulaman with the Petai, Kacang Botol, Daun Selom, Pucuk Pegaga, Pucuk Ubi, Kacang Bendi, Jantung Pisang, Pucuk Gajus, Terung Pipit, Ulam Raja, Timun and Tomato. Enjoy them with the appetizing Sambal Belacan, Sambal Mangga, Cencaluk, Budu, Tempoyak and Kicap Manis.

Enjoy some warm soup like the Sup ayam dara berempah and the Malay-style spring chicken with spice. That’s just the start of the buffet!

Coming more and more ! The ramadhan spread comes well with the Briyani daging., Beef biryani, Ikan tenggiri goreng berempah, Deep fried fish with 7 spices and curry leaves, East coast-style duck with kerutub spice, Rendang kambing pedas, Lamb with rendang paste and ground chili and more.

They also have some Indian cuisine to be enjoy too in the buffet with the delicious Methi Murgh, Beef Achari, Lemon Saffron Beriyani, Khumb Matar Mushroom, Aloo Curry Patta and many more. Topped them with the fragrant and appetizing sauce like the Hussaini Tamatar Qoot, Nimboo Chatni, Cucumber Raita. Not just that, I am pampered with loads of the crispy crackers Keropok Ikan, Keropok Papadum, Keropok Belinjau, Keropok Udang, Keropok Ubi Kayu, Kerepek Ikan Bilis, Tumpi Kacang Dhall, Tumpi Kacang Hijau to name a few

Filled your self with the Japanese counter where you can enjoy the fresh Sashimi and Sushi with the Salmon, Butter Fish, Octopus, Maguro, California Temaki Roll and many more.

The station I love the most is definitely the teppanyaki station where you can enjoy the selection of Beef, Prawn, Chicken and Fish.

For those who love Japanese Fried Item, try their prawn, fish, crab stick and vegetable with condiments which is deep fried till perfectionist and served to you.

What more if you love to get some Live “Goreng-Goreng’ Station where enjoy their aneka pisang inclusive of pisang raja, pisang awak, nangka and more deep fried with the crispiness. It is indeed bringing back the childhood experience back.

More addition includes the dim sum counter, lam mee, wantan mee and more. They have also a variety of noodles spread which is the Kuali Ramadhan that you can find the Pattaya fried rice, Fried udon noodles with prawn and also the Fried pad thai. If you like some western, you can get yourself the Spaghetti, Fettuccine, Trio Fusilli, Penne and topped with their choices of Carbonara, Seafood Pizzaiola, Aglio e Olio, Beef Bolognese sauces with it.

Ends your meal with the variety of desserts which includes the freshly prepared waffle, Chocolate fountain and more. They do serves petite choices of cakes and tarts too. Some of the variety which is in the buffet includes the Chocolate Ginger Crème Brûlée, Pineapple Turn Over Cheese Cake, Caramelized Orange Tart, Cranberry Pear Mousse, Kuih Apam Gula Hangus,Bingka Jagung,Kuih Keria, Kuih Koci,Kuih Tepung Pelita,Lepat UbiKuih Lapis, Apam Balik,Lepat Pisang,Putu Piring and also Putu Mayam. They also have some hot desserts which are some of the highlights in the buffet too which is the Durian Soup with Pancake Rolland the Pengat Keledek.

End your meal with the variant color of the Cold Beverages which includes the Air Kurma, Air Tebu, Air Sirap Selasih, Air Soya and also the Ice Lemon Tea.

This scrumptious buffet dinner is available at Latest Recipe from 22 June to 16 July
2015, priced at RM173 nett per person (from Monday to Friday), RM161 nett per
person (on Saturday & Sunday). Children between 4 and 12 years old and senior
citizens are entitled to a 50% discount. Additionally, SPG members will receive a
20% discount off total food bill.
