THE ST. REGIS BANGKOK PROUDLY INTRODUCES THE ST. REGIS BAR

May 31, 2015 by StrawberrY Gal

Poised to Be the Newest Gathering Place in Bangkok,
The St. Regis Bar is an Elegant Meeting Place for Bangkok’s Cultured Society

Reflecting a legacy of refinement and style, The St. Regis Bangkok is pleased to announce the launch of The St. Regis Bar.  Providing legendary service, The St. Regis Bar is a rare haven in a sprawling metropolis, providing a picturesque setting in which to enjoy the enduring tradition of afternoon tea with family and friends, a relaxed business meeting or a welcome evening drink to a backdrop of the setting sun.  The opening will lead off with a celebration on Wednesday, 14th September 2011.  The event also kicks off the “Journey of Epicurean Rituals” that will take place in the coming weeks to celebrate the launch of The St. Regis Bangkok’s food and beverage venues.

Poised to be the newest gathering place in Bangkok, enchanting afternoons at the St. Regis Bar are punctuated by the flawless and eloquent live pianist, evenings by expressive live jazz.  The St. Regis Bar honours the hotel’s rich lineage by serving renowned drinks such as the Bloody Mary, first created at The St. Regis New York in 1934 but here mixed with a distinctly Bangkok twist as the bar’s signature drink, the Siam Mary. The extensive drinks menu includes an extraordinary selection of premier spirits, classic cocktails, and Champagne. Cuisine includes classic dishes such as the club sandwich, and fresh strawberries and cream.

“The St. Regis Bangkok pays homage to The St. Regis’ time honoured traditions while extolling Thailand’s rich culture and commitment to hospitality,” says Krister Svensson, General Manager of The St. Regis Bangkok.  “A refined, intimate setting, stunning views and a prime location along Rajadamri Road positions The St. Regis Bar as the consummate social retreat for Bangkok’s most cultured society.”

The St. Regis Bar is a rare haven in a sprawling metropolis, offering an elegant and refined ambience with high ceilings, polished wood floors and a subtle palette of dark, polished wood, charcoal gray and coffee tones.  Furnishings are as conducive to intimate conversations as they are to relaxing on plush banquette sofas.  Located on the hotel’s 12th floor, guests are invited to mingle at the 14-meter long black marble bar, enjoy some fresh air on the outdoor terrace, or to take in the stunning views from the floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the Royal Bangkok Sports Club and dazzling Bangkok skyline.
