For those who are looking for some nice authentic Thai foods with affordable price, you can visit the Riverboat Restaurant that just newly opened in Plaza Danau Desa. The cozy restaurant run by Louis and his wife whose origin is Thai, the Riverboat Restaurant served mainly Boat Noodles as well as few signature Thai dishes that go very well with rice.

As evolved, Riverboat Restaurant serves not just boat noodles but they have more items to go. However, the highlight of the Riverboat menu has to be their unbelievably moist and aromatic Pla Pao or Grilled Salt-Crusted Tilapia with Lemongrass. Make sure you order this first as the fish takes about 30-40 minutes to cook over a charcoal fire. The moist texture Talapia fish is being grilled with the seasalt wrapping around it with the hint of lemongrass in it.

It is served together with the vegetables,Thai bihun and also some of their special sauces.

If you are looking for some Boat Noodles, yes they have it too. Each little bowl is served at RM 2.50 each and you can have a choice of the pork boat noodles or the beef boat noodles. Thick soup base filled with the aromatic flavours and generous ingridients in it.

Som Tum Thai (RM 9.90) served simply appetizing. The green papaya salad which is shredded is being marinated with lime and chilly padi in it. You will be assured with the kick of spiciness in it.

For pork lover, try their Namthock Moo (RM 14.90) where the appetizing pork neck is sliced and cooked. Then, it is added with their spicy sauce together with some mint leaves and onions. Tender meat with the spicy taste in it.

For tom yam lover, try their pipping spicy tomyam ( Tom Yum Goong Seafood ) (Small : RM 17.90/ Large : RM 33.90) which you would asure of the kick in it. The tomyam served with the scrumptious ingridients like prawns and squid. At the first sip of the soup, you will taste the sweetness but it slowly felt the pipping spicy blend after that.

Another item not to be missed in Riverboat is Riverboat’s Clams in Thai Sauce (RM 13.90) that comes in eight pieces. Pluppy and fresh clams with the sweet and flavourful taste in it!

For those who are looking for a decent Thai delicacy, visit Riverboat to grab your boat noodles and stack them up or try their Grilled Salt-Crusted Tilapia with Lemongrass.
