KFC CELEBRATES A WONDERFUL CNY WITH THE LESS FORTUNATE

March 7, 2015 By StrawberrY Gal - Food News Leave a Comment

In conjunction with the Chinese New Year celebrations, the KFC Malaysia team organized a Chinese New Year party and brought cheer to some 80 children and senior citizens from three charity homes around Ipoh last Thursday.

The CNY party which was a part of KFC’s corporate social responsibility commitment to local charity projects, brought joy and smiles to the children and senior citizens as they were all presented with some ang pows and goodies.

The KFC team arrived at the event location early in the morning to put up lanterns, balloons and decorations to create a CNY party atmosphere for the special guests to enjoy. The day was filled with fun, games, and entertainment by Awang the clown who made them smile and laugh throughout the evening.

They were also treated to a lion dance performance, magic show, fun and games, singing and dancing before sharing a meal of KFC fried chicken, nuggets, and whipped potato with their guardians and the rest of the KFC team members.

“We are thankful to KFC for organizing this CNY party for the children to enjoy. A party such as this really made the children and senior citizens very happy because they were able to enjoy the taste of KFC fried chicken, something they don’t always get to eat,” said Ms. Elena Wong, guardian from one of the homes present.
