Usher in the year of the goat with family and friends at Pulai Springs Resort with an assortment of delightful Chinese New Year cuisine. The culinary team has come up with a special set menu for the eve of Chinese New Year as well as 4 set menus available at the award winning Qing Palace Chinese Restaurant. The menus are all suitable for family reunions or gatherings with friends.
The Chinese New Year Eve Reunion Set Dinner on 18 February, priced at RM 1,488 ++ per table for 8 to 12 persons is offered at the Grand Ballroom (Dewan Kencanapuri) from 6.00 pm onwards. Guests can indulge in an 8 course set menu comprising Qing Palace’s special salmon yee sang, braised shark’s fin soup with shredded abalone and dried seafood, camphor and tea smoked duck, steamed garoupa in ‘Hong Kong’ style, fried sea king prawn with butter, braised abalone with black mushroom, glutinous rice with lotus leaf and crispy deep-fried ‘Nian Gao’. During the dinner, guests will be kept entertained with live band entertainment, fireworks display, Chinese Diabolo performances and can also win exciting prizes during the lucky draw session.
Qing Palace Chinese Restaurant is also offering four (4) special 8 course set menus from 19 February to 5 March. The Auspicious Set Menu is priced at RM 468 ++ and is suitable for 6 persons. The Happiness Set Menu, Longevity Set Menu and Prosperity Set Menu are priced at RM 698 ++, RM 838 ++ and RM 1,188 ++ respectively and are suitable for 10 persons per table.
In addition, a Chinese New Year must-do is having family and friends tossing the yee sang, which is believed to bring good luck and prosperity. Qing Palace has prepared a line-up of six (6) types of Yee Sang for guests to “Lo Hei” (tossing) for prosperity and wealth for the New Year. The six types of Yee Sangs are Abalone, Roasted Duck, Soft Shell Crab, Pacific Clam, Salmon and Jelly Fish yee sang and are priced from RM 40 ++ per portion. Yee Sang is available from 1 February till 8 March 2015.
All dishes at Qing Palace are pork-free and alcohol-free.
The all-day dining Cinta Terrace Restaurant will also be offering Lunar New Year buffet and hi-tea. The Chinese New Year Eve Oriental Buffet Dinner, available on 18 February is priced at RM 68 ++ per adult and RM 34 ++ per child. Meanwhile, the Chinese New Year Day Hi tea is priced at RM 45 ++ per adult and RM 23 ++ per child and the Chinese New Year Day Buffet Dinner is priced at RM 52 ++ per adult and RM 26 ++. Both the Chinese New Year hi-tea and buffet dinner are available on 19 and 20 February 2015 and with 4 paying adults, 2 kids eat for free.
