TORII @ BATAI

January 28, 2015 by StrawberrY Gal

TORII

A new place to dine and chilled out with the modern izakaya with a distinctly Malaysian flair, Torii is indeed a great place to enjoy a platter of yakitori affair with drinks with friends. The place comes awesomely good with the lovely sitting place and the atmosphere brings you with a casual and hip evening out.
TORII

Torii specializes in yakitori, one of the most loved genres of Japanese cuisine. They offer their version of a beak to tail dining experience when it comes to serving the various parts of the chicken, well-seasoned and infused with the smoky flavours from traditional charcoal grilling.

TORII
We had the Blue Fin Tuna Salad (RM22) where the blue fin salad comes with the generous portion of chopped mango together with the cilantro, saffron and topped with the balsamic dressing on top. Such a lovely and appetizing salad to start off!
TORII
Wagyu Sliders (RM 24.00) – indeed well made with the moist and juicy patty, topped with spinach, caramelized onions and scones. It is too cute to be eaten and I am impressed with how it is served. The wagyu is well made with the tip top aromatic flavours and each mouthful is oh.. Delicious.
TORII

The Salmon Crudo (RM 25.00)comes with scallion, garlic chips, pesto and Ponzu. Nicely done and every mouthful is sinfully good.
TORII
The Bonded Unagi & Foie Gras (RM 28) is one of the signature in Torii. The Unagi comes moist and juicy with the fragrant foie gras. I love how it is served on the table where the grilled river eel, egg and the pan-seared foie gras that had made an perfect combination.
TORII
Skewers is something a MUST to order in Torii. The selection of Red Lobster (RM 10/per skewer) which is perfectly well done with the moist pulpy texture of the lobster is served together with the scallion and also the garlic chili sauce.

TORII

The escargot (RM10/per skewer) comes with the bites of garlic as it is being added with the garlic miso and scallion. Chewy texture.

TORII

For beef lover, don’t miss their Wagyu Seven Skewers (RM 20.00/per skewer) which is well marinade with the sea salt and black pepper. The wagyu remains the moist texture and every mouthful comes so juicy.
TORII
As for the chicken wings (RM 8.00/per skewer) is also one of my favourite skewer. Well marinated with the sea salt, the wings comes so juicy and lavourful.
TORII
Ended with the Sweet Potato (RM 5.00/per skewer) where it is being marinated with sea salt and glazed with butter. The sweet potato comes sweet and moist inside even it is grilled.
Nice.

For those who are looking for a place to hang out with great food and choices of alcohol, visit Torii !
