BACI SPREADS THE FESTIVE SPIRIT WITH THE LAUNCH OF A SPECIAL CHRISTMAS CAMPAIGN FOR THE UNDERPRIVILEGED

October 27, 2014 by StrawberrY Gal

In conjunction with Yuletide, Baci Italian Café, a home-grown brand by Chaswood Resources Ltd, is launching a special Christmas campaign to fund a buffet spread for the underprivileged children of Ti Ratana Welfare Society at their outlet in Citta Mall, Ara Damansara.

From 1st till 30th November, patrons will be encouraged to contribute a minimum of RM10 that goes towards organising a Christmas buffet cum party on Sunday, 7th December 2014 for the children of Ti Ratana Welfare Society.

“In the spirit of giving and sharing the joy of Christmas, we are delighted to be organising this special campaign with a little help from our patrons,” said Raymond Liew, Marketing Director of Chaswood Resources Sdn Bhd.

Liew remarked, “This Christmas campaign aims to inculcate the charitable and humanitarian spirit amongst our staff, patrons and the society at large. This year we have chosen to support and share the festive spirit with the children of Ti Ratana Welfare Society. Apart from the sumptuous spread, this Christmas event is also meant to be a great day out for the kids.”

The children will be treated to a magic show and a scrumptious buffet of Baci’s signature Italian-styled sandwiches, savoury handmade pizzas, hearty pastas and Christmas-inspired desserts and cakes. The special one-day event is meant to be a wonderful experience for the children as they celebrate the holiday season.

“We hope to raise a total of RM6,000 for the Christmas party, the balance of which we will donate fully to Ti Ratana Welfare Society for their daily expenses,” he added.

Ti Ratana Welfare Society is a not-for-profit welfare organisation that includes 6 shelters for children, old folks and women located in Bangsar, Puchong, Klang, Penchala, Cheras and Kepong. They currently house 176 children and 120 old folks with ages ranging from 4 months to 93 years.

So the next time you are shopping in Citta Mall Ara Damansara or happen to drop by Baci Italian Café for your coffee fix, do spread a bit of kindness and Christmas cheer into the hearts of underprivileged children by donating generously!
