MEI XIN MOONCAKE 2014

September 4, 2014 by StrawberrY Gal

After the successful release of their mooncake in Malaysia last year, Mr Cool (Chi Lam) who is the ambassador of the Mei Xin Mooncakes comes more with their selection of mooncake here. Mei Xin which is the brand from Hong Kong had made a surprise with more choices of packaging this year with more choices of petite mooncake.

Mr Cool recomedations “The Snow Skin Mooncake” comes with the variety choices of flavours like mango, raspberry, and their exclusive durian flavours. The mooncakes comes very petite size which at 35grams each and each set comes with 4 pcs.

I had the mango set which comes in 4 pcs and each of it is filled with the fragrant mango taste with it. In the middle, it has the lovely juicy custard which is as nice as it is. The custard added with mango comes slightly sweet but the creamy taste of it is so delicious.

As for the durian, it gives a fragrant blend of durian but of course is slightly below my expectation. With the D24 durian blend in it, the mooncake comes very creamy to me and it is not really a tip top one I had.

However, I love their custard mooncakes that served in a box of 4 (RM 49.00). The 4 50g custard mooncakes with the creamy custard taste and the mouthful of sweet blend of it is just as good as it is. Love it so much.

Mei Xin Mooncake is available at Jaya Grocer, and AEON outlets.
