SAE MA EUL (새마을) KOREAN BBQ, PV128

August 22, 2014 by StrawberrY Gal

Being a fans of Korean delights, we headed to the new Korean BBQ restaurant which is located just stones away from the KL Festivall Mall and it is actually at the PV128 Setapak. Blooming with the food outlets there and this round, we had Sae Ma Eul Korean (새마을 BBQ) there.

They have their very first outlet opened back in Solaris Mont Kiara where they comes up with the open concept of BBQ-ing. The concept are pretty unique where you where they are doing them with the open concept restaurant and with this you are assured that you will get a good air circulation throughout the restaurant.

In Korean Restaurant, we usually started with their banchan which in here in comes with 3-5 variety of it in rotation basis.

We had BBQ Set (RM60) which can cater for 2 to 3 person, consisting of Spicy Grilled Pork Belly, Grilled Baby Octopus, Garlic, Chilli, and Steamed egg.

Using the traditional barbecue way which is using charcoal; you will find that the meat will have the blend of tastiness on its meat. The meat pretty juicy and the bites of light spiciness can be tasted after the grilled. Cooked to your favorites, the meat is so nice which have little fats in it; and the char-grilled flavoured left in your mouth. Yummzz!

If you prefer other parts of the porks, they do have them too where you can have them grilled like pork ribs, pork shoulder and the pork back ribs. The choices are a much a great one where you can enjoy the ooziness of fats with it. Well done, pop in your mouth and enjoy the moist of the pork-licious delights.

Choirutan Jumoekbab (Spicy Rice Ball) (RM 20.00) is one of the signatures that must order here. Given a pair of gloves, rolled you’re your rice into the ball and then placed them over the slow fire and allows it to be grilled. After grilling for sometime, you will get he crunchy crust and the soft fluffy rice in the inside with the kick of spiciness. The rice balls came so fragrant which give them a two thumbs up with the umpph spiciness. Nice!

Kimchi Stew is another item which is being served comes pretty good. With the flavourful brooth, the delights is completed with the savory yet not too spicy kimchi stew. Thick brooth but it doesn’t come

As for the Korean pancakes ; the Seafood Pancake (RM20) is something to look for. The Seafood pancake is well made and fried till crispy edges with the fluffy eggy texture, The portion was kind a large one but no worries, it is so good that we can finish them. Surprisingly, even though it looked really red, it wasn’t as spicy as I thought it will be. Go for this soup to complement your barbequed korean meat.

Dine them together with some Korean wine with it.
