LAI PO HEEN MOONCAKE 2014 @ MANDARIN ORIENTAL

August 31, 2014 By StrawberrY Gal - Food Review Leave a Comment

Mandarin Oriental, another hotel which brings you a different mooncake experience where Mandarin Oriental this year comes with the elegant boxes with the theme of red and black with the exquisite mooncakes. Available in Lai Po Heen at Mandarin Oriental till 8 September 2014.

The mooncake are well made and presented in an elegant two-tier gift box which comes with a sophisticated red and sleek black that compliments with the oriental motifs which is just a perfect gift for friends, family and business partners.

And this year, Lai Po Heen’s master chefs had made the mooncake so unique and with the finest ingridients. Comes with five new flavours that is made by the master chefs. There are plenty of variety in their mooncake selection but its highlight of the year will be the unique chocolate creation such as the green tea ganache, white chocolate with lychee filling, and passion fruit and caramelised banana encased in dark chocolate. Being a chocolate lover, I had the perfect indulgence on the dark chocolate with green tea ganache and crunchy macaroon, chocolate caviar that is delicately swathed in creamy lychee filling and enfolded with white chocolate, and last but not least, indulge in the perfect marriage of passion fruit and caramelized banana encased in a velvety smooth dark 24k chocolate goodness for a decadent treat. Sinfully good and addictive mooncake to go after

Other selection include bamboo charcoal and green tea lotus paste baked mooncake, diced chicken ham baked mooncake with mixed nuts, dragon fruit lotus paste baked mooncake, durian paste baked mooncake with melon seeds and homemade mini snow skin mooncake with almond and tiramisu lotus paste.

To purchase, please call the Mid-Autumn Festive Desk at +60(3) 2179 8797 / 8798 or email [email protected] Orders can be collected daily from 11am to 8pm. In addition, the mooncakes will also be available at One Utama Shopping Centre and Isetan Suria KLCC.
