YU XIANG CRYSTAL POT AND CRYSTAL ROASTED @ TAMAN USAHAWAN, KEPONG

Kepong is another place to go for steamboat.  Yu Xiang Crystal Steamboat which is located at Taman Usahawan Kepong. Located opposite AEON BiG; the restaurant is pretty easy to find them. The airconditioning restaurant comes cozy with the automated door as well.

Breaking away from the typical steamboat pot, the restaurant uses pots that are made of pure crystal. These pots gorgeously illuminate under the flame to provide a dining experience like no other. The steamboat comes with eight choices of soup base like Chrysanthemum soup base, Szechuan Soup, Pumpkin Steamboat and more.

We had the Chrysanthemum soup base soup (RM 16) and added with the 2 person set meal (RM 38.00). The ingridients comes pretty fresh and they have prawns, choices of fishball, crabstick, taufu-bok and many others.

Besides the normal ingredients, we ordered some additional items to accompany the meals too. Ala-carte delights we had including their signature dumplings and fish balls.

The soup comes sweet and refreshing at the first taste of it. With the additional of lemon and cucumber in it; it brings up the overall fragrance. Leading till the end; the flavours turns slightly salty but it’s taste comes pretty special.

If you do not mind to pay additional for a experience of special steamboat; perhaps do try them. Cons is they don have much dipping sauce like Malaysian love to have. They just have dried chilly oil to accompany or sesame sauce.
