July 1, 2014 by StrawberrY Gal

Furin in Holiday Inn Kuala Lumpur Glenmarie brings us more surprises this round with more types of scrumptious items. This round we are trying their new items with the highlight of some chef’s specialties with it. Fu-Rin Japanese Restaurant at the established Holiday Inn at Glenmarie, Shah Alam brings you with the good food and hospitality where it brings us with the authentic, tickle and satisfies your cravings for a good Japanese meal.

One of their new dishes Pan Furai Wafu Toriyako (RM28.00/serving) comes pretty interesting to us. The Japanese pan fried chicken comes well with the great marination of garlic, parsley & other special ingredient. Marinated for 2 hours and pan fried to perfection; the chicken comes with the crispy skin as well as moist and tender meat. The deliciously done portion with the great texture of meat with the Furin tartare sauce added with the pickles and also the Togarashi spices (7 spices chili powder). Sinfully delicious and it is as mouthwatering as it is.

The Ebi Tango Furai (RM28.00/serving) is another new item which is being served. The Deep-Fried Prawn Meatballs is well presented with the scrumptious ingredients with it. Chopped tiger prawns well rolled and deep fried till golden brown with the crispiness of the skin and in the inside leave us with the robust flavours of the crisp prawn. It is compoleted with the drizzled of the wasabi mayo together with the ebiko which enhanced the overall flavours. Nice!

If you are a beef lover, never forget to try the Wasabi Beef (RM70.00/serving) which is one of the chef’s specialty. The chef’s specialty comes pretty well with the moderately thin slices of sirloin which is carefully seared till medium well and it is being topped graciously on top of the myriad colors of salads. Added with the wasabi and sesame oil as dressing; the beef slices is indeed a good mix with the salad with a better crispy bites and flavours in it. Awesome!

Korokke (RM28.00/serving) comes awesome with the delicious blend. The deep fried, fluffy mashed potatos together with the beef, bell pepper and also corn croquettes all well combined together. The awesome mashed potatoes comes pretty addictive and it is being served together with the Fu-Rin home made tangy tonkatsu dip, consisting of soya sauce, Dijon mustard, Worcester sauce & garlic powder.

Favour of some grilled prawns? Try their Kuruma Ebi Chizu Yaki (RM32.00/serving) which is one of the new items in Furin itself. The deliciously done fresh prawns is well grilled till perfection with the touch of the cheesy temptations. The prawns comes awesome with the charred- taste from the grilling and each mouthful is just divine. It’s not enough!

Sushi lover would say YES to this. The Jumbo Ebi Sushi (RM58.00/serving ; a love at the first sight comes awesome with the freshly cooked prawns wrapped with rice and the simple delicious Maki is really a good one with the grilled with loads of cheddar cheese and cream. Hint of creaminess and the crunchy bites of sushi; the taste is simply superb.

Another will be the Fu-Rin Creamer Maki which is the new chef’s speciality. Comes with the assorted seafood with the mayonnaise rolled (8 pieces) ; the maki comes pretty good. Stuffed with the unagi and softshell crabs, the maki is completed with the generous toppings of Teriyaki sauce and onion infused mayonnaise in it which had made a good mix of the overall flavours. With the generous portion of the Teritaku sauce; it makes the overall taste awesome with the blend of the Teriyaki sauce with the sprinkled of Tempura Batter.

Aside, we had the Cold Japanese Noodles with the fermented beans- Hiyashi Natto Inaniwa (RM38.00/serving). The authentic Japanese noodles are being served to us with the slurpy blend in it. The Japanese noodles comes flat white where it give us a touch of smooth-ness in its texture which comes pretty flavourful. Served together with the sticky, gooey”slimmy” beans which give a slight bitterness.

Favor for some noodles? Yaku Soba comes to the correct choice for those who love something comes fried. The Yaki Soba (RM28.00/serving) comes loaded with the scrumptious seafood. Served together with chunky pieces of scallops , prawns and more; the delights is so good that we are falling in love with it.

The overall delights come awesome!
