BREAK FAST WITH ‘CITARASA MALAYSIA’ AT CONCORDE HOTEL SHAH ALAM

June 18, 2014 By StrawberrY Gal - Food News Leave a Comment

Ramadan month is one of the holiest months in the Islamic calendar. Falls on the ninth month, the sighting of the crescent moon marks the beginning of Ramadan.  During this month, Muslims wake up early to have their pre-dawn meal (Sahur) before the call for morning prayers (Solat Subuh). They will then fast for the rest of the day until they hear the call for the evening prayers (Solat Maghrib).

Muslims fast during this holy month and offer more prayers than usual. This is a time of self-evaluation and self-reflection. They seek for forgiveness and forgiving others, resist to temptations, show more concerns to their community, express their love and rejuvenate relationships with their family and friends. In order to do these, it requires high levels of patience, discipline, devotion and sacrifice. As this is a period to strengthen ties with their families and friends, Muslims usually break fast together with their loved ones.

At Concorde Hotel Shah Alam, we fully understand how much it takes to practice the teaching and intention of this auspicious month physically and spiritually. Therefore, our kitchen brigade at Melting Pot Café are busy whipping up an enthralling feast of authentic Malaysian traditional favourites, ‘Citarasa Malaysia’ for this Ramadan month.

‘Citarasa Malaysia’ is a medley spread with over 200 signatures dishes of time honoured recipes from different states in the country, such as Kedah, Penang, Perak, Melaka, Perak, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Kelantan, Terengganu and Johor,  therefore you will never run short of varieties with our Buka Puasa spread!
