A NIKKA ADVENTURE AT THE MALT & LEAF

May 18, 2014 By StrawberrY Gal - Event, Kuala Lumpur 2 Comments

The Malt & Leaf was host to 50 discerning individuals for an evening of decadent dessert pairing and Japanese Whisky tasting on Wednesday, 14 May 2014 from 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

The evening, presented by The Malt & Leaf and Tong Woh Enterprise, sole distributor of the Nikka Whisky range in Malaysia, took guests on a sensory journey of discovery to appreciate the distinctive taste of the award winning range of whisky and to further enhance the breadth of offering by The Malt & Leaf.

Attendees were able to experience the finest of the Nikka range including the Nikka Pure Malt Taketsuru 21 Years Old, Nikka Pure Malt Taketsuru 17 Years Old, Nikka Single Malt Yoichi 20 Years Old and Nikka Single Malt Yoichi 12 Years Old at the Mixology station led by notable mixologist, Ben Ng. Each variant had been paired with various bitters and garnishes to further enhance the characteristics of the Japanese malt.

To complete the experience, the tasting session was accompanied by pairings of decadent desserts such as the Chocolate Brownie Bites, Crème Brulee and Pepper Balsamic Strawberries at the Gastronomy Station. Attendees were seen enjoying the finest of cigars and international malts throughout the evening while taking pleasures in the cool breeze and an elevated view of the city.Style undoubtedly sets the tone on the elevated bar and lounge establishing The Malt & Leaf as one of the trendiest places to be seen at and heard in Kuala Lumpur. This is your invitation to a lifestyle less ordinary, open from 5:00PM till late Sunday through Saturday. If you have not, we recommend you to step inside The Malt & Leaf.
