A CELEBRATION OF FOOD, CULTURE AND TRADITION AT PRINCE HOTEL & RESIDENCE KUALA LUMPUR!: “JOM MAKAN” AT ECCUCINO FROM 30 JUNE – 25 JULY 2014

May 28, 2014 By StrawberrY Gal - Food News Leave a Comment

“Jom Makan” is a local lingo that is being used largely here in Malaysia to invite someone to dine with you. This year, the culinary team at Eccucino is inviting diners over to celebrate food, culture and tradition with Malaysian favourite local delicacies that one can find at a local bazaar (also known as Pasar). “Jom Makan” nightly buffet dinner is available from 30 June to 25 July 2014. Headed by Chef Jason Manson, Eccucino Chef de Cuisine and Chef Zulkefli, Eccucino Junior Sous Chef diners can look forward to an evening of Malaysian dining experience like no other as Eccucino is transformed into a local bazaar ambience for your delights.

To further elaborate on the concept of “Jom Makan” buffet dinner, Executive Chef Donald Pezar says, “This year, we are incorporating a Malaysian style dining concept into Eccucino as we believe that Malaysians generally love this concept. So now, they can now get together and enjoy a local bazaar concept within the comfort of our restaurant.  It is also a fantastic opportunity for our foreign guests to experience this local lifestyle.”

More stalls serving local bazaar delicacies will be added to this nightly buffet dinner in order to allow diners to truly experience this ambience. “We are transforming our porte-cochère where diners can freely move around and interact with our chefs. The idea is to allow diners to feel like they are at a local bazaar with plenty of on-going actions.  It will definitely be a memorable dining experience and we are equally excited about it.”

At the action stalls, diners can look forward to try out some of famous local bazaar food such as variety of Ikan Bakar, Signature Hot Pot Soup, our Famous Apam Balik, Whole roasted lamb kuzi, sizzling Shawarma grills and a Malaysian laksa stall featuring five different flavors of laksa just to name a few.

Eccucino will also showcase specialties from around Malaysia which includes kerabu pucuk paku, bubur lambok, beef rendang with lemang, rendang tok, nasi kandar, roti canai, udang goreng berlada, grilled satays, ais kacang and more.

While dining, diners can also look forward to be entertained by a traditional “Ghazal” band from Seri Mewah. The band consists of an accordion, acoustic guitar and “Gendang” (Percussions) that will perform three sessions of music that varies from Ghazal, Asli and Modern.  It will be played from 7:00pm to 10:00pm daily during the promotional period.

“Jom Makan” nightly buffet at Eccucino is available every night from 30 June to 25 July 2014, 6:30pm to 10:30pm offering a wide selection of cold selections, soups, action stall items, hot selections, desserts and beverages.
