Locating at Batu Ferringgi, the lovely resort which had melts my hearts – The Golden Sand Resorts by Shangri-la is such a perfect place for a family gateaway. With the great view of the beautiful seaside and extravaganza beach in front of your rooms, it is such an indulgence and a relaxing place for me and my family.

We had made our visit to the Golden Sands and upon arrival, we are greeted with a smile and the bellboy had helped us up on my bags since I am busy with Little Grace. Parking was convenient and no worries about the car park fees as it is free too.

We are guided to our check-in counter and well, we are served well with a smile on our check-in and the held to our rooms during our trip. Well, we do walk around the hotel as it such a relaxing thing to do and enjoying the singing from the sea breeze. It was such a pleasant hotel to stay on with the facilities which is being provided.

– The view outside our room-
Our rooms is indeed awesome where the huge suites comes with a living hall, 2 toilets and also 2 small balcony for us to enjoy the beautiful view of the sea itself. The suites offers 66 sqm / 711 sqf of luxury where you are almost pampered and felt home when you had your legs inside. Little Grace is running up and down happily in the room herself. The room is a huge one where one side will be the lovely living room where we can enjoy our tv shows or even relaxing reading through some of the magazines there.

The room is well furnished with the king size bed which is just good for 3 of us as Little Grace used to sleep with us on the bed together. Well, pillows are many here and we can some pillow fight too.

Well, the hotel comes with all the basic neccesities where you they have bottles of water as well as coffee and tea. Besides that, we are being served with a platter of fruits- a healthy indulgence to pamper us.

– Things you can buy in The Adventure Zone-

And what’s more, I love it as I can have an extra gateaway with my little one. School holiday or not , when you are not at home, it can still be a hard time to find for family activities. As we headed to this hotspot here in Penang, I would say there is no regret where we really enjoyed the Golden Sands Hotel and Resort here.

Afterall, it has been voted Most Family Friendly Hotel twice last year, it would be a fun time indeed at there. Just take a look at their never ending best of child friendly facilities : a 10,30 square foot Adventure Zone, a kids club organized activities for children from four to 12 years old including in the hotel rates, family entertainment centre, pool with waterslides and even rest assuring a clinic in the hotel itself.

While the children are kept busy with their exciting activities, there are plenty of adults friendly ammetities to make sure I’ll enjoy my gateaway as much like my children do. Just relax by the lagoon shaped pools, finally read magazines or checking out my instragrams and facebooks by the shades of the tropical garden.

In the evening, we had some time with little Grace where we walked around the beach and enjoying the sunsets or for those who are more adventurous, they can try the wide range of available watersports of the par – three golf cost.

While getting dark, go for a bite at the Sigi Bar and Grill on the beach and relax some more around the beach or even at the café.

At night, get a stroll around the Batu Ferringhi night market and pamper your self with some shopping too.
