TEA BREAK IN G LOUNGE, G HOTEL PENANG

March 21, 2014 by StrawberrY Gal

G Lounge offers mouth-watering variety of dessert prepared by Chef Tan Kwee Lian, G Hotel’s Award Winning Pastry Chef. Amongst the dessert offered include Orange Cheese Cake, Macadamia Brownies with Hazelnut Mousse, Lemon Tart with Lychee Mousse and many more. Those with a sweet tooth will be spoilt for choice. On top of that, every slice of dessert comes with a complimentary cup of hot beverage to rejoice that is available from 10am to 9pm. 50% discount after 8pm, for takeaway only.

Special recommendations from Chef Tan are Maracaibo Chocolate Mousse with Croquantine, Apple Crumble Tart & Passion Fruit Mousse. Hitting the top notch was this carefully crafted Passion Fruit Mousse (RM12++) which combines seductively fragrant passion fruit with light-as-air meringue. The velvety smooth mousse comes with a thick smear of Passion Fruit seeds. Well balanced in terms of sweetness, with a slight sourish tinge towards the end, this refreshing and light dessert is perfect for those without a sweet-tooth.

One of the top selling dessert is the aesthetically pleasing Apple Crumble Tart (RM12++) that’s inexplicable, with a balanced medley of sweet and sour notes from the fresh apples. The pastry is also pleasingly delightful and gives a perfect crunch to the combination.

Maracaibo Chocolate Mousse with Croquantine (RM12++) is something shall not be missed by Chocolate lovers. The dark, rich, creamy and smooth Chocolate will take taste buds on an extraordinary sweet journey. The Croquantine sandwiched in between layers of the cake adds another dimension and texture to the mousse.

Not a fan of dessert? No worries. Try out their finger foods like Vegetable Quesadilla, Spicy Chicken, Tempura Prawns, Curry Potato Samosa, Indian Spiced Battered Fish Fingers, Nyonya Style Spring Rolls & Deep Fried Calamari. Strongly recommend for fans of vegetables is the classiest quesadillas bursting with fresh grilled vegetables, melted mozzarella and creamy goat cheese. The hint of a garlicky sweetness from the basil pesto makes these quesadillas completely irresistible.

G Lounge, the place to chill out after a tiring day at work. Join us for happy hour and enjoy lip-smacking snacks with wine and beer as you groove to DJ Johnny’s live music. Located on the Ground Floor, G Lounge is open daily from 10am to 1am. For more information and latest promotions, please call G Hotel directly at +604 238 0000 or visit www.ghotel.com.my
