DINE-IN AT HOME THIS CHINESE NEW YEAR WITH PURPLE CANE TEA RESTAURANT’S UNIQUE DISHES THROUGH ROOM SERVICE

January 23, 2014 by StrawberrY Gal

Malaysian Chinese need not go so far as to make reservations for reunion dinners at restaurants only to experience the joys of the Prosperity Toss aka Yee Sang. It is common for many restaurants to offer a Reunion Dinner package for Chinese New Year, but why dine out or cook when you can order in. Room Service is spreading the New Year joy by delivering a claypot take-away set and a homemade yee sang set; two favourite traditional and uniquely appetising dishes straight to your home.

Chris Khaw, COO of Room Service said “Reunion dinners are a special time for families as they return home to spend time together. Why spend the time booking a restaurant, having to travel there and wait for the food when you can just order these unique dishes and enjoy them in the comfort of your own home.” “We picked these dishes as they’re very symbolic and geared towards plenty of wealth and prosperity and is especially meant to be eaten with a group of people so as to ‘unite’ them during Chinese New Year” he added.

Fans of the traditional claypot dish can opt for the healthier vegetarian option as Purple Cane has prepared a Superlicious Delight Claypot Take-Away Set. A set suitable for 10-12 pax it contains a supreme tea soup with fresh vegetables, “prosperous pouch”, black mushroom, bamboo fungus, “fatt choy”, yam and many more fresh melon and fruits stewed in Oolong tea. This delicious claypot set comes with a 10 inch fine quality Claypot with “prosperity bag” and a multi-purpose foodware (while stocks last). The Superlicious Delight Claypiot Take-Away set is priced at RM 316.80 and only 1-day advance order is required.

Have a fresh start this Chinese New Year as Room Service will also be delivering Purple Cane Tea Restaurant’s Homemade “Yee Sang” with Fresh Salmon & Chef’s Special Sauce, but don’t let the name intimidate you as Purple Cane has put their own spin on the delightfully healthy meal of fresh fruits and vegetables.

Yee Sang also known as Yu Sheng, is the preferred dish for the festive season of Chinese New Year. This homemade yee sang contains fresh ingredients such as salmon, sliced Buddha Palm, Pomelo, sliced ginger, sliced mango peel, sliced melon, sliced white carrot, sliced red carrot, shredded purple cabbage, sliced yam, jelly fish, crunchy crushed peanuts, crispy crunch, seasame, pepper, cinnamon powder, green tea powder and the chef’s special homemade sauce comprising omega 9 oil and dragon fruit plum sauce. This homemade Yee Sang set is suitable for 6-10 pax and is priced at RM 85.80. Visit www.roomservice.com.my or call 1300 886 886 to place orders and for more information.
