CHINESE NEW YEAR PROSPERITY SET DINNER AT G HOTEL

January 20, 2014 by StrawberrY Gal

During the festive of Chinese New Year, Sesame + Soy Pan Asian Chinese Cuisine offers two decadent set menus to choose from, where your family will be spoilt for choice. The Chinese New Year Prosperity set dinner, designed by awards wining Chef Chiam and his team, comes in two menus at a price of RM98++ and RM128++ per person. The prosperity set dinner is available daily from 31st January to 14th February. Usher in the Lunar New Year at G Hotel with a scrumptious set dinner to celebrate an abundant and prosperous year ahead with family

and friends.

The RM98++ set offers an six-course menu that starts with a Fatt Choy Yee Sang with Norwegian salmon, Tomato Chowder with sea cucumber, crab meat & prawn meat, Sautéed White Prawns with Vermicelli & Chinese wine, Oven-baked Cod Fish with Abalone Mushrooms in royal Thai flavor, Japanese Baby Octopus & Preserved Duck Meat Fried Rice and Sweet Corn Cream with Coconut Milk & glutinous rice ball.

–Steamed Cod Fish with Honshimeji Mushrooms in supreme soy-

-Sweetened Dried Longan Meat with Peaches, Sea coconut, ginko nuts & lotus seeds-

The RM128++ set offers a six-course menu that starts with a Riches & Honors Yee Sang with kwei fei abalone & Norwegian salmon, Braised Sea Treasures Chowder with lobster meat & bamboo fungus, Two Variety Combinations Deep-fried Boneless Chicken with kiwi dressing & Sautéed White Prawns with tomato butter cream cheese flavours, Assorted Sea Kingdom Combinations simmered with sea moss in local farm green, Steamed Cod Fish with Honshimeji Mushrooms in supreme soy and Sweetened Dried Longan Meat with Peaches, Sea coconut, gingko nuts & lotus seeds.

Special recommendation by Chef Chiam is Riches & Honors Yee Sang with kwei fei abalone & Norwegian salmon. Chinese tradition to start off Chinese New Year with Yu Sheng to welcome prosperity and fortune into our lives. There’s a process of blessing the Yu Sheng ingredients, pouring in the condiments with a lucky chant, then mayhem begins with a whole lot of shouting, pulling the ingredients up high.

Located on the first floor of G Hotel, Sesame + Soy is comfortably spread across two spacious dining rooms, each with stylish interiors. Soy comes across as a modern Asian bistro, infused with a hint of Zen that complements its casual vibe. Its natural setting is adorned with bamboo dividers and white clam-shell chairs, lending an air of sophistication to its dining experience.  Soy is open at 12.00pm to 2.30pm for lunch while Sesame is open from 6.30pm to 10.30pm for dinner.
