One of the great ways to begin the celebration of Chinese New Year is by indulging in hearty meals and symbolic dishes signifying good health, prosperity and happiness with family and friends.

Ming Palace Chinese Restaurant’s Executive Chinese Chef Ng Chee Wah together with his culinary team have whipped up mouth-watering set menus, the must-try a la carte dishes and all-time favourite prosperity yee sang made available from 2nd January to 14th February 2014.

The best part of Yee Sang or traditionally known as ‘Lou Sang’, is gathering family and friends to share good wishes for life. And it is a tradition to toss yee sang during Chinese New Year too. Ming Palace’s Yee Sang promotion offers a distinctive style of preparation and there are choices of Abalone Yee Sang with Pine Seed; Soft Shell Crab Yee Sang with Yacon and Pine Seed; the traditional Salmon Fish Yee Sang with Fuji Apple, Korean Pear and Pine Seed, and much more. Prices only range from RM48++ per half portion to RM268++ per whole portion.

•Auspicious Chinese New Year Sets



The restaurant also offers special Auspicious Chinese New Year set menus to cater to everyone’s unique needs. A choice of two different sets of 7-course meal made available for a minimum of four persons is priced at RM108++ and RM138++ per person. Some of the highlights in the menu are the must-have Prosperous Salmon Yee Sang with Korean Pear, Double Boiled Chicken Soup with Fish Maw and Cordycep Flower, Steamed Cod Fish with Supreme Soya Sauce, Braised Topshellin Sea Cucumber with Dried Oyster and ‘Fatt Choy’, Fried Rice with Waxed Duck and Liver Sausage in Lotus Leaves and much more.

For a larger group, feast on four different sets of 9-course meal range from RM988++ to RM1,788++ per table of ten persons; suitable to end the year by celebrating with friends and business associates, reunion with family and loved ones from near and far, and throughout the fifteen days of Lunar New Year celebrations in a contemporary oriental ambience. This exclusive package comes with a COMPLIMENTARY bottle of red wine or chilled orange juice. On top of that, patrons will also receive 38% discounts on second table of ten persons for this package.

Ming Palace Chinese Restaurant has received recognition as the Best Chinese Restaurant presented by the Malaysian Tattlers’ for 1988, 1989, 1997, 1998 and recently 2013 for exceptional cuisine and service. The restaurant’s palatable a la carte menu is all set to tantalise its patrons’ taste buds with its delightful recipes. The hearty a la carte menu price ranges from as low as RM6++ per serving onwards (depending on serving size) is an ideal treat for all.
