Rasa Deli at Shangri-La’s Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa, Penang unveils the croinut. The croinut is a hybrid creation of a doughnut and croissant – a delicious marriage of exquisite flavours. Flaky on the outside with a creamy surprise inside, this doughnut and croissant hybrid created by New York-based Chef Dominique Ansel, has taken the world by storm.

Each beautiful croinut is a work of culinary art, presenting a feast for the eyes and palate. Made of laminated dough, it is filled with scrumptious cream and fried to a specific temperature.Each croinut is individually rolled with flavoured sugar as a finishing touch. In conjunction with the croinut’s debut into Penang shores, Rasa Deli introduces croinut flavours that include a combination of fruity, tart and creamy tastes.

Customers may select from Toffee Orange, Lemon Raspberry, Chocolate Brownie, Apple Crumble, Nutella Banana and Vanilla Oreo. To retain it freshness, the croinuts are made fresh with only 100 pieces available from 3 to 4 p.m. daily. The croinut is now available exclusively at Rasa Deli for MYR $9.50+ per piece. Price is subject to 6% government tax.
