PROSPERITY OF THE WOOD HORSE AT SI CHUAN DOU HUA RESTAURANT

December 31, 2013 by StrawberrY Gal

The Lunar New Year is here to welcome the Year of the Horse, saying goodbye to the Year of The Snake. According to the Chinese zodiac, people born in the Year of the Horse are active, energetic, charming and cheerful.

From 13 January to 14 February, Chinese Chef Donald Chan and his talented team will be putting together a bountiful feast of dishes which include selection of Yee Sang, prawns, scallops, grouper and duck. Each menu has been delicately crafted with significant symbolic dishes, available at Si Chuan Dou Hua for lunch from 12 noon to 2:30pm and dinner from 6:30pm to 10:30pm.

As you select your choice of Yee Sang, try out our signature Tropical Fruit Yee Sang which consists of sliced kiwi, dragon fruit, mango, strawberry, apple and pomelo to name a few. This fruit combination promises to give you a refreshing experience.

The selection of seafood Yee Sang include ‘Abalone’, ‘Shark’s Fin’, ‘Tuna’, ‘Soft Shell Crab’, ‘Salmon’, ‘Jellyfish’, ‘Scallop Skirt’ and ‘Pacific Clam’. These delicately prepared Yee Sang are served with specially concocted sauces like Sour Plum Sauce enhanced with fruit flavour, Spicy Plum Sauce with Mango or the traditional Sour Plum Sauce.

Priced from RM56 nett (half portion) and RM103 nett (full portion) onwards, the Yee Sang dishes are available for dine-in or takeaway.

With six set menus available, the ‘Auspicious Blessing’ set is priced at RM150 nett per person while the

‘Blissful Happiness’ set is priced at RM195 nett per person, where both sets require a minimum of 2 persons dining. If you are in a group of 4 persons, the ‘Happy & Prosperous’ set is available at RM750 nett. The ‘Smiles of Fortune’ set is for a group of 6 persons, priced at RM1088 nett. A group of 10 persons may opt for the ‘Golden Prosperity’ set at RM1985 nett or the ‘Bountiful Wealth’ set at RM2300 nett.

Celebrate Chinese New Year with a hi-tea of gastronomical spread of Malaysian cuisine on 31 January and 1 February at Chatz Brasserie. Priced at RM68 nett per person, it is available from 12:30pm to

4:00pm. Enjoy 20% savings when you make full payment for a reservation by 15 January.
