A DATE WITH MADISONS FOR KL RESTAURANT WEEK

September 26, 2013 By StrawberrY Gal - Invited Review Leave a Comment

MADISSON

KL Festival Week, is my date with the restaurant and this round, we had a date with Madisons in Bangsar. Helmed by Chef Kelly Delaney of the acclaimed Auge Ristorante in Adelaide, Madisons is the product of two emotions driven by long discoveries in food and wine. Chef Kelly’s food focuses on clean flavours, while most ingredients are locally-sourced where possible.

Roast suckling pig filled pastry pillows with caramelized apples and tomato chutney

The delicious set had tempted us with the Roast suckling pig filled pastry pillows with caramelized apples and tomato chutney. The chef is creatively cooked the delicious delights to be served to us. By cooking over 18 hours of the suckling pig, it is then wrapped and well caramelized with the apples and tomato chutney is just making my day.

As for the dinner menu, you can enjoy them with the set as below at RM78nett

Soup of the day
or
Tuft duck and chicken liver pate served with red wine jelly
Slow cooked Beef cheek served with mash, oven roasted cherry tomatoes, crispy basil
or
Fettuccini of seasonal mushrooms, shaved asparagus speck and truffle butter
or
Fresh Market fish, parsnip mash with beetroot chips, French sausage and burgundy sauce
Apple and baby pear crumble with crispy sage and burnt butter ice-cream

Tuft duck and the liver pate
We tried the Tuft duck and the liver pate which is served with red wine jelly. The well infused truffle together with the liver is just good as it is. Bringing a slight saltiness of the meals itself. It is as delicious as it is which really melts our hearts.

 Slow cooked Beef cheek
We also tried the Slow cooked Beef cheek served with mash, oven roasted cherry tomatoes, crispy basil. Perfect ly cooked with the tender and succulent meat. Juicy texture and each mouthful of the beef cheek is just heavenly.

 Fresh Market fish
We also had the Fresh Market fish where the cod fish is very fresh and juicy. The delicious tender fish delights brings up the refreshing taste with the great textures. Indulging till the fullest.
