MID-AUTUMN “YUE PING” AT THE EMPEROR, DORSETT GRAND SUBANG

August 19, 2013 by StrawberrY Gal

It is time again this year and it is a month from now for the Mid Autumn Festival. This year, The Emperor Chinese Restaurant of Dorsett Grand Subang surprises us with the mooncakes. Chef Chong Foo Tuck, the newly appointed dim sum chef prepares the palm-sized sweet cakes that symbolize family unity in good mix of the traditional baked and creative snow skin selection with the imaginative fillings in it.

In here, The Emperor Chinese Restaurant offers a wide choice of the baked flavors such as the Pandan Lotus Paste with Egg Yolk, Pure Red Bean Paste, Pure Sweet Potato Paste with Single Egg Yolk and White Lotus paste with Double egg yolk, just to name a few. If you would like to purchase some for health conscious friends and relative, you may try their low sugar selection of White Lotus Paste with Single Egg Yolk, and Pure White Lotus Paste.

Not only the traditional mooncake, they do have the Crystal Skin Mooncake like Crystal Skin Pandan Lotus Paste with Egg Yolk , Crystal Skin Red Bean Paste, and Crystal Skin Pure Sweet Potato Paste with Single Egg Yolk. Each of every mooncake is simply well made with the not-too sweet paste that comes with it.

Overall, I love their traditional mooncake which is the Lotus Paste Mooncake which taste good. The mooncake gives a great texture and what I love about the whole mooncake is where it is not too sweet. With this, it would be a perfect gift for the elderly. The packaging is also very useful where I can stuffed my makeups and even some stationery into it.

For a special Dorsett treat, guest that purchase 10 boxes (4 pieces of mooncakes per box) and above in a single receipt, we will give out a complimentary Dining Voucher of Sunday Dim Sum Brunch for 2 persons at The Emperor Restaurant. For other privileged card promotions, details as below:

1. CIMB credit card holders, 15% discounts for a minimum spend of RM150 (excluding tax & service charge) in a single receipt.

2. Malaysia Airlines Enrich members, 15% discount for a minimum spend of RM150 (excluding tax & service charge) in a single receipt.

3. Dorsett Prestige Club members, 20% discount for a minimum spend of RM150 (excluding tax & service charge) in a single receipt.

Coupled with an attractive gift box, they make wonderful gifts for loved ones, friends and business associates. Call us at 03-5031 6060 ext 1954 to find out how you can get your hands on them.
