PENANG ONE, KOTA DAMANSARA

July 31, 2013 by StrawberrY Gal

A place I am glad to be here. I am just so falling in love with the shop where I do no need to travel anymore all the way to Penang for my lovely bowl of laksa. Penang One is where my canteen will be if I am working in Kota Damansara. Just hopping they will one by my home or perhaps besides my office so I can grab a taste of it as when I love too.

Penang One is a place where they specially selected the legendary of the famous street food, where each is professionally cook by their original masters and transported directly all the way from Penang for you to savor. Glad, I found it. No more traveling 100kms more to Penang worrying on the hectic traffic jam, using my leave to travel back for my lovely food, and more. Now, I can have it anytime with just a 20 minutes’ drive to enjoy my lovely Penang food. The interior of the restaurant was quite spacious and the décor is all about the faux road signs of the Penang roads.

We had made a few orders of the food which one of the top Penang food MUST have will be the char koay teow. Well stir fried with the bean sprouts as well as the huge prawns with the “imported” penang koay teow is just perfect. You can opt to add duck egg together with it as well.
Price: RM 10.90

They also have the Penang style of Chee Cheong Fan which is being served with the sweet sauce as well as shrimp paste. Well rolled with the smooth rice noodle roll and topped with sesame seed as well as some onion oil too. The chee cheong fan gives an authentic taste of Penang where the delights are all the way bring from Penang from the Macalister Lane Chee Cheong Fan.
Price: RM 3.90

We ended with the Siam Laksa. The combination of “lemak” and “asam” will turn to be the Siam Laksa which is really superb. The laksa is just perfect just like Penang and I am just slurping the noodles with the soup. It is just perfectly served.
Price: RM 9.50
