June 10, 2013 By StrawberrY Gal - Food News Leave a Comment

Make this Father’s Day extra special for the entire family with a well-deserved treat at Ploy featuring a selection of two exclusive set menus underscoring Ploy’s eclectic twist on a host of delightful Thai and Japanese –influenced Modern Asian creations.

-PINK LADY SUSHI-
-Spicy Salmon Pizza-

Diners can look forward to a scrumptious lunch or dinner for up to six people at RM298+ with Ploy’s Set A Menu which presents creative food enthusiasts with mouth-watering appetizers such as the Spicy Salmon Pizza, its fresh and spicy salmon intermingled a unique avocado paste on a crunchy bed of crust is perfect for sharing; whilst Mr. Big Sushi is a deep fried roll of fresh tuna, salmon and avocado encased in a crunchy wrap of nori that delivers satisfying, aromatic flavours with every bite.

-Emperor Burger-
– SPAGETTI THAI ANCHOVIES –

Ploy’s starters will tickle the fancy of the most jaded of foodies. Savour the restaurant’s unique creation, the Emperor Burger and enjoy the Australian minced sirloin beef patty sandwiched between a “Man Tao” bun and glazed with a Japanese sweet “Tiugan” sauce that delivers a piquant and classy interpretation of a “fast food joint” burger that melts in your mouth. Families looking for a great meal will also find delight in Spaghetti Thai Anchovies. This light pasta dish, infused with an Asian spice featuring specially air-flown anchovies straight from Thailand tossed together in traditional Aglio Olio fashion sets the pace for the main course.

As for signature mains, spoil Dad with delectable Tender Beef Ribs, a dish which aims straight at the heart of every male as the beef just falls off the bone and its smokey, tangy seasoning permeates the senses and appetite of meat lovers. Those in the mood for a more oceanic taste will certainly find pleasure in Crispy Skin Salmon featuring fresh, sweet and perfectly cooked salmon fillet complete with crispy skin and liberally glazed with a sweet-sour sauce made from one of Ploy’s many secret recipes. For those with a more substantial appetite, Ploy’s Kimchi Fried Rice is laden with slices of tenderloin beef and squares of kimchi that delivers hefty, flavorful spoonfuls of carbs and protein-laden goodness.

Fancy making your own yummy dessert? Don a cap, apron and food handling gloves and partake and be amazed by the delicious science involved in Ploy’s Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream. Fresh malted milk is flash-frozen into a creamy and ambrosial dessert with the help of liquid nitrogen in just 3 minutes; retaining its full, rich flavour. For an adventurous infusion of East meets West, savour Ploy’s signature Durian Panacotta, an exotic, if a little quirky dessert that leaves a lasting impression.

Ploy also hosts another option for dining dads and their families; its Set B Menu is perfect for a party of 8-10 diners, and starts at RM468+. Diners start their Father’s Day gastronomic journey with epicurean delights in the form of a Soft Shell Crab salad; a bouquet of sweet and crispy soft shell crab and fresh greens liberally seasoned with wasabi dressing or a Crispy Fish Basket featuring choice selections of fresh fish delivered straight from the ocean, seasoned with exotic Thai spices and deep fried to perfect little morsels of flavour. Ploy’s Pink Lady Sushi, a deep fried soft shell crab and avocado sushi roll topped with fresh strawberries also makes a great starter whilst the Popcorn Chicken Pizza will definitely satisfy with delectable and succulent orbs of popcorn chicken and fresh zesty pineapple scattered across a bed of creamed avocado on a thin, light and crunchy pizza base.

-TENDER BEEF RIBS-
-Pan Fried Sea Bass with Pesto Sauce-

Choose from a tantalizing selection of main courses. The Australian Tenderloin Steak with Gorgonzola Cream Sauce makes for appetizing juicy main featuring a luxurious medallion of beef fillet paired with Gorgonzola cream sauce, served with a side of stir-fried vegetables. Ploy’s Black Fried Rice also delivers in both aesthetics and taste as diners are presented with a raw egg balanced precariously atop a bed of squid-ink infused rice with fresh prawns. Those with a preference for healthier options will be enamoured with the Pan Fried Sea Bass with Pesto Sauce as Ploy delivers a thick fillet of seabass gently pan fried to perfection and set upon a pool of fresh and fragrant pesto sauce that accentuates the delicate flavour of the fish.

Last but not least, diners can embrace their soft side and end their dining experience at Ploy on a sweet note with a delicious range of desserts available to share. The Tempura Sesame Ice Cream is an aromatic, velvety and creamy dessert, whilst the Durian Pancake packs a gentle punch with its pungent taste with a Western twist. Fans of delicate desserts will find joy in Ploy’s version of the traditional homemade, Creme Caramel.

Ploy’s Father’s Day Set Menus showcase a fine, specially-crafted selection of flavours, colours and tastes that will charm even the fussiest of diners. Presented in bountiful banquets of dishes ideal for sharing between loved ones and combined with Ploy’s signature uber-kitsch décor, the use of top-notch ingredients and attentive wait staff, diners and families can look forward to an award-winning gastronomic experience this Father’s Day.
